This article explores the long-term dynamics of material use in France over a period of 185 years. It is based on material flow accounts that are perfectly consistent with the standards of Material Flows Analysis at the national economic scale. This work - which covers domestic extraction, imports and exports - is the first long-term study of material flows for France, with annual and national data for most of the period. Our database allows us to study the evolution of French metabolism during the industrialization of the country, together with the increasing dependence on abiotic materials. Este artículo presenta los principales temas abordados por los economistas de la educación a lo largo de los últimos cincuenta años. Después de recordar brevemente los antecedentes de la disciplina, se describen las aportaciones teóricas y empíricas realizadas a raíz del desarrollo de la teoría del capital humano, que es el fundamento de la economía de la educación. Más allá de los trabajos que tratan de los efectos externos de la educación, el artículo repasa también las principales aportaciones efectuadas en el análisis de los sistemas de enseñanza y en la evaluación de las políticas educativas.

En este trabajo se analizan algunos de los obstáculos que están dificultando la implicación de diferentes sectores sociales en la adopción de las medidas necesarias para hacer frente a la actual situación de emergencia planetaria. En particular, analizamos la supuesta confrontación entre educación ambiental y educación para la sostenibilidad. Voldemar Langenfeld's list of Malus Mill. herbaria

Veicot ābeļu ģints (Malus Mill.) sistemātiku, tās morfoloģijas, evolūcijas un filoģenēzes pētniecību, profesors Voldemārs Langenfelds (1923 – 2007) ir izveidojis vairāk kā 600 lapu lielu ābeļu herbāriju. Herbāriji ievākti laikā no 1956. līdz 1969. gadam Latvijā un ārpus tās robežām. 1990. gadu beigās zinātnieks šo herbāriju nodeva Latvijas Universitātes Muzejam un tie glabājas Botānikas un mikoloģijas kolekcijās. Lielākā daļa (407) ir iekļauti kolekcijā Herbarium Latvicum (RIG II), pārējie – Herbarium Generale, 29 herbāriji atrodas ārpus minētajām kolekcijām. Šajos sarakstos sniegti dati par visiem V. Langenfelda ābeļu herbārijiem, kas glabājas LU Muzejā.

Casein genes are highly polymorphic and the high degree of variability has qualitative and quantitative effects on milk composition thereby affecting chemical, physical and technological properties of goat milk. The aim of this work was to evaluate the genetic polymorphisms of the αs2-casein (CSN1S2) gene in the endangered Girgentana dairy goat breed in order to assess the genotypes distribution, as it is known genotype influences technological and nutritional milk properties. Photoluminescence properties of S2 molecule trapped in Melanophlogite

We studied the photoluminescence properties of a sample of SiO2-clathrate Melanophlogite, a crystalline microporous material which is found in nature as a rare mineral. Upon β irradiation, the material displays an intense light emission under near-UV illumination. We studied in detail this optical activity by steady-state and time-resolved photoluminescence measurements as a function of temperature. The spectroscopic properties we find can be ascribed to a population of quasi-free molecules trapped within each of the two different types of cage available in the structure of this clathrate, although the spectroscopic properties of the guest molecules are affected by their interactions with t…
