Hasta la fecha, pocos estudios han examinado las experiencias corporizadas de las mujeres gordas. En esta tesis doctoral exploro cómo se significa discursivamente la experiencia de ser gorda en un contexto constituido de epidemia de obesidad. La estigmatización de los cuerpos gordos no es nueva, pero hoy se ha legitimado a través de discursos medicalizados de la gordura que la construyen como un problema global de salud. Al difundir estos discursos de forma sensacionalista y alarmante, los medios de comunicación han contribuido a alimentar el pánico moral al respecto, convirtiendo la gordura en uno de los mayores enemigos públicos. Upper Caraş River (Danube watershed) fish populations fragmentation – technical rehabilitation proposal

Abstract We propose a technical solution for fish movement based on the flow of water over a spill threshold. Such barriers are common in the Danube system. The proposed system has a range of operating components which are easily detachable from the spill threshold, are resistant to corrosion and will not harm the fish. In fact, if designed to complement swimming abilities of target fish, it should provide adequate passage for both adults and juveniles. If implemented correctly, the design may offer a solution to help displaced fish recolonize upstream habitats.
Isolation of Gram-positive n-alkane degraders from a hydrocarbon-contaminated Mediterranean shoreline.

Aims: To investigate the petroleum hydrocarbon (HC)-degrading potential of indigenous micro-organisms in a sandy Mediterranean coast, accidentally contaminated with petroleum-derived HCs. Methods and Results: Using culturable methods, a population of Gram-positive n-alkane degraders was detected in the contaminated soil. Five isolates, identified as one Nocardia, two Rhodococcus and two Gordonia strains, were able to degrade medium- and long-chain n-alkanes up to C36 as assessed by growth assays and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis. Siedziby ich są na znacznej przestrzeni oddzielone od siedzib Zagórzan wyłomem Raby, a na północ za jej biegiem przeciągnęły się aż do wsi Stróży. Gordonia sp. SoCg, a Gram positive strain able to grow on long chain n-alkanes1, possess a single copy of alkB2 gene, whose product is required for n-alkane hydroxylation3. An analysis of alkB flanking regions revealed five ORFs which were designed as orf1, rubA3, rubA4, rubB and alkU, according to the sequence 14 homology with that of known alk clusters3. In G. sp. Se presenta un caso de quiste odontogénico calcificante asociado con odontoma (QOCaO) y con un canino permanente incluido en maxilar superior, en un paciente varón de 19 años. El Quiste Odontogénico Calcificante (QOC) fue descrito por primera vez cómo una entidad patológica por Gorlin y col. en 1962. Se trata de un tumor benigno odontogénico mixto,y aunque la mayoria de estas lesiones presentan características quísticas en algunos casos se presenta como una masa sólida (15 %), y su transformación maligna está bien documentada. Kliszczak Gorals are among the least known and most understudied Polish Goral communities. Research into the musical traditions of the areas they inhabit is even more modest. In the article, an attempt is made to determine whether the distinctiveness of this ethnographic group – established by 19th-century ethnographers based on an artifact of material culture, namely a characteristic detail on the trousers of male folk costume – has also ever manifested itself in music.
