ResumenLa crisis financiera internacional impulsada por las noticias vertidas en agosto de 2007 ha tenido efectos devastadores sobre los mercados de capitales internacionales. El objetivo de este artículo se centra en verificar, en este contexto de crisis, si las empresas del mercado continuo español generan rendimientos anormales negativos, a la par que investigar qué factores ligados al gobierno corporativo podrían justificar estas anomalías. Hippocampal reversible lesions in a case of transient global amnesia

We report the case of 55-year-old man that after an emotional stress showed retrograde and anterograde amnesia with impairment of orientation in space and time but undisturbed consciousness. A neurological examination excluded other neurological signs or symptoms. The amnesic syndrome resolved spontaneously within 24 hours and the hypothesis of transient global amnesia was placed. Brain CT scan and conventional MRI sequences did not show any relevant pathological findings but diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) showed two millimetric bright spot of restricted diffusion in the right hippocampus; in a brain MRI follow-up those findings were no more appreciable. Earth System Models (ESMs) are invaluable tools that have emerged from decades of research modelling the earth system. Central to this development has been the coupling of previously separate model types, such as ocean, atmospheric and vegetation models, to provide interactive feedbacks between these earth system components. Here we present the initial steps of coupling LPJ-GUESS, a dynamic global vegetation model, to EMAC, an atmospheric chemistry enabled atmosphere-ocean general circulation model. Capital cities in East Central and Eastern European Countries (ECEEC) are changing rapidly. Since the 1990s, the ECEEC capitals have faced the double challenge of the market (the transition process) and of integration in the world economy (the globalization process), which supposes a sufficient development of coordination functions and thus of advanced services concentrated in these cities (city globalization).
