Mixed e-assessment: An application of the studentgenerated question technique

This paper presents the experiment of a mixed summative-formative evaluation in an asynchronous distance higher education context. In the experiment, performed in the distance course of Total Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, University of Guadalajara (Mexico), students are guided to formultate questions on specific topics. Studentgenerated questions are evaluated through an ad-hoc quantitative tool, specifically designed for the purpose: the four-criterion Observation Matrix. This article discusses social dynamics of higher education which is one of the most crucial but neglected perspectives in comparative studies of higher education. We pay attention to the importance of time, space and contexts—both geographical and socio-cultural ones—to reveal how they influence on different social dynamics in various systems of higher education. The article focuses on the national higher education system level. En él se estudia el peso que la posición socioeconómica tiene en el acceso a la Educación Superior de las segundas generaciones en España. The aim of the current study is to validate the adaptation of the job demands–resources theory to the study context. In addition, we introduce the concepts study crafting and self-undermining to the study demands–resources framework by examining the mediating role of engagement and exhaustion in the relationship between study characteristics and study crafting and self-undermining.
