Scattering Amplitudes from Superconformal Ward Identities

We consider finite superamplitudes of N=1 matter, and use superconformal symmetry to derive powerful first-order differential equations for them. Because of on-shell collinear singularities, the Ward identities have an anomaly, which is obtained from lower-loop information. We show that in the five-particle case, the solution to the equations is uniquely fixed by the expected analytic behavior. We apply the method to a nonplanar two-loop five-particle integral. The article presents a portrait of Joseph Conrad-Korzeniowski, an English writer with a Polish soul. Conrad—the last Polish Romantic—did not only manage to introduce Polish dreams and longings into English (and Western) literature, but also transformed the Polish experience into a universal one. Writing about exotic, faraway places, he disseminated myths concerning Polish national identity, chivalric tradition and the Polish Eastern Borderland atmosphere and ethos. This study explores the fuzzy discursive identifications of Polish residents in Britain following the Brexit referendum by using a corpus of Polish-language glocal media materials (Moja.Wyspa.co.uk). This qualitative study aims to explore the characteristics of Polish political rhetoric since 2004 when Poland’s political system stabilized after the transformation from a communist to a democratic state. It analyzes a selection of celebratory presidential speeches, PMs’ inaugurals and parliamentary debates, and populist party propagandas targeted at domestic audiences. Although negative party identification is part of the original party identification concept by Campbell et al., it has been rarely analyzed in empirical studies. Further, the few existing studies lack a coherent conceptualization of negative partisanship, and focus in their analyses almost exclusively on negative party evaluations. While party identification is one of the mostly used concepts for the explanation of vote choice, the components of party identification and the collective identity of party adherents were never explored systematically.
