Convenio sobre el trabajo marítimo 2006 (MLC, 2006)
2019
The essay analyses 2006 Convention on maritime work, and it highlights its original characteristics within ILO sources: firstly, the Convention systemises the fragmented scenario of conventions and recommendations on maritime workers’ rights. Secondly, it is characterised by a strong effectiveness, especially having regard to repatriation and to Flag State and Port State controls, not limited to ships flying a flag of a ratifying State. In any case, some weaknesses persist, such as the lack of recognition of the right to strike and a very generic regulation of shore leave. El ensayo analiza el Convenio sobre trabajo marítimo de 2006, y pone de manifiesto su originalidad dentro del marco de …
La Corte EDU si pronuncia sulla perseguibilità dei reati commessi dalle vittime di tratta
2021
The note to judgment deals with the case of V.C.L. and A.N. v. the United Kingdom (applications nos. 77587/12 and 74603/12), in which the European Court of Human Rights considered for the first time the relationship between Article 4 (prohibition of forced labour) of the European Convention and the prosecution of potential victims of trafficking. In doing so, the Court held unanimously that there had been a violation of Article 4 and of Article 6 (right to a fair trial), since, despite the existence of credible suspicion that V.C.L. and A.N. had been trafficked, neither the police nor the prosecution service had referred them to a competent authority for assessment. For its judgment, the Co…
Pochi studi tuttavia pongono tale valut…

Preventing technostress through positive technology
2018
Over the past decade, the workplace has experienced significant changes as a result of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and the subsequent digital transformation (Mcafee, 2006; Matt et al., 2015). Such technological, cultural, and organizational changes have redefined business models and competition. As evidenced by the shift from the Enterprise 1.0 to the Enterprise 2.0 business models, ICTs offer companies increased productivity and efficiency (Bilbao-Osorio et al., 2013). At the same time, introduction of ICTs can pose a threat to both a company and its employees through misuse, abuse, and overuse, resulting in technostress (Gaudioso et al., 2017). This emerging risk see…
La salute organizzativa nei contesti sanitari: Un’esperienza di ricerca-intervento.

Specifically, the data were gathered through the administration of Multidimensional Organizational Health Questionnaire (n=782) and focus group interviews whose transcripts were analyzed with the software T-Lab. The analysis of collected data has allowed us to trace the organizational health…
The effect of organizational culture on deviant behaviors in the workplace
2017
This study investigated the impact of organizational culture (OC) on deviant behaviors in the workplace (workplace deviant behaviors: WDB). We tested the hypothesis that different types of OC (according to the Competing Values Framework model) had an impact on WDB, in addition to the effect of Big Five personality traits. Survey research was undertaken with 954 employees of 30 enterprises in the public and private field, using a hierarchical model approach (HLM) to test the effects of four types of OC (Clan; Adhocracy; Market, Hierarchy) on WDB, over and above the effect of Five Personality traits. The HLM results partially supported our hypotheses, showing that the OC had a significant eff…
The Italian Version of the Career Factors Inventory
2015
This study attempted to examine the validity of the Italian version of the Career Factors Inventory (CFI), a psychometric tool widely used in the assessment of cognitive and personal–emotional dimensions of career indecision, among a sample of 2,060 Italian students attending high school and university. Recurring to both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, the original four-factor structure was confirmed and returned, in line with the literature, satisfactory reliability indices; moreover, CFI subscales showed intercorrelations consistent with previous studies, albeit lower in some cases. Subsequently, convergent validity between the four CFI subscales and other scales via zero-o…
Psychological Well-Being and Career Indecision in Emerging Adulthood: The Moderating Role of Hardiness
2016
Choosing a career path is an important developmental task during the transition from adolescence to adulthood. However, many emerging adults (EAs)-individuals between 18 and 29 years of age (Inguglia et al., 2016)-struggle to get their career decision-making processes under way because they need a long time to explore various possible career directions (Arnett, 2004; Miller & Rottinghaus, 2014). In particular, this condition concerns EAs who are never employed and is traditionally associated with the construct of career indecision (Gati et al., 2011; Gati, Krausz, & Osipow, 1996), referring to the difficulties that can slow or even stop the career decision-making process.Among such difficul…
