Hepatic incidentaloma: An asymptomatic ectopic thyroid tissue

An ectopic thyroid is a form of thyroid dysgenesis in which the entire thyroid gland or parts of it may be located in another part of the body than the usual place. The most frequent location is the base of the tongue. Although most cases are asymptomatic, symptoms related to tumor size and its relationship with surrounding tissues, hormonal dysfunction, and seldom malignancy may also occur. Here, we describe the case of an asymptomatic woman who was thyroidectomized 19 years previously for a toxic goiter and treated with conventional L-thyroxine therapy, until we enacted a progressive reduction of dosage of the replacement therapy. This article examines the valuable contribution that Katherine Bradley and her niece Edith Cooper made to the vast tradition of queer Sapphism in Long Ago (1889), their first volume of poetry published under the collaborative pseudonym of Michael Field. The Inflammatory Response in Acyl-CoA Oxidase 1 Deficiency (Pseudoneonatal Adrenoleukodystrophy)

Among several peroxisomal neurodegenerative disorders, the pseudoneonatal adrenoleukodystrophy (P-NALD) is characterized by the acyl-coenzyme A oxidase 1 (ACOX1) deficiency, which leads to the accumulation of very-long-chain fatty acids ( VLCFA) and inflammatory demyelination. However, the components of this inflammatory process in P-NALD remain elusive. In this study, we used transcriptomic profiling and PCR array analyses to explore inflammatory gene expression in patient fibroblasts. Our results show the activation of IL-1 inflammatory pathway accompanied by the increased secretion of two IL-1 target genes, IL-6 and IL-8 cytokines. Mais elle peut être aussi considérée comme un marqueur de variabilité des mobilités quotidiennes. Trois problèmes de l'analyse de la mobilité sont : le biais de non-réponse, une temporalité d'observation trop réduite et une description incomplète des causes de l'immobilité.
Color and multispectral image processing for the detection of inflammatory lesions of the stomach

The work presented in this manuscript is part of the ANR project EMMIE. This project aims to develop an innovative multimodal system for the detection of inflammatory lesions in the stomach. To this purpose, a prototype has been developed to be able to acquire NBI endoscopic images and multispectral images during human's antrum exploration. The prototype is made of a standard endoscope and multispectral images.The prototype can acquire two types of data: NBI images and spectra. These two modalities are processed independently.
