Variations in the Thickness of the Plantar Fascia After Training Based in Training Race. A Pilot Study.

Plantar fascia (PF) is a connective tissue made up of mostly type 1 collagen that is subjected to constant loads. This study evaluated the effect of continuous running on tissue stress in the PF by measuring changes in the thickness of the PF using ultrasound scans. It was a cross-sectional study involving 24 runners from the University of Valen- cia, recruited as volunteers between December 2018 and February 2019. Hydraulic kinetics of the graft union in different Olea europaea L. scion/rootstock combinations

The hydraulic resistance of young olive trees grafted on rootstocks with contrasting size-controlling potential was measured 30, 90, 360 and 480 days after grafting. Olive (Olea europaea L.) clones inducing plant vigorous growth (Leccino ‘Minerva’, LM) or dwarfing (Leccino ‘Dwarf’, LD) were studied in different scion/rootstock combinations (LD/LD, LD/LM, LM/LD, LM/LM). Plants growing on LD root systems developed lower leaf surface areas (about 50% less) than plants grafted on LM rootstocks. Graft union represented the largest fraction (up to 85%) of whole-plant hydraulic resistance 30 days after grafting, and still represented an important fraction of it 2 months later (40–55%). Cet article met en évidence que pour rendre compte de l'effectivité de la scolarisation primaire universelle, il est nécessaire d'avoir recours à des indicateurs qui intègrent à la fois la dimension quantitative : quelle est la proportion d'enfants qui suivent une scolarité primaire complète ? Et la dimension qualitative : est-ce que les élèves maîtrisent les compétences de base à l'issu du cycle primaire ? En suivant cette approche, de nouveaux indicateurs peuvent être pris en considération au niveau des systèmes éducatifs. Toutefois, ce questionnement permet de signaler la faiblesse actuelle du pilotage de la qualité de l'éducation dans les systèmes éducatifs africains. S'inspirant de la …
