Tomando como base la Teoría de Liderazgo Transformacional (Bass, 1985), se estudian las conductas que componen los estilos de liderazgo y su relación con tres variables de resultado: la eficacia del líder, la satisfacción con el líder y el esfuerzo extra de los subordinados; así como el aumento de los efectos (augmentation effect) del liderazgo transaccional cuando además se utiliza el liderazgo transformacional. Abstract Team attitudes in critical infrastructures are essential to achieving reliable operations despite internal and external challenges, and empowering team leadership (ETL) may be an important precursor of these attitudes. The present study aimed to test whether ETL was related to teams’ satisfaction trajectories, measured as changes in job satisfaction and safety satisfaction at three time points. This study attempts to determine whether the increased blood lead concentration affects the posturographic test and to determine the relationship between the parameters of posture stability and selected parameters of oxidative stress. The study population consisted of 268 male employees and was divided into two equal subgroups, depending on the lead content in the blood. A posturographic examination was performed. Concentrations of lead, cadmium, zinc protoporphyrin, selected essential elements, and selected markers of oxidative stress in the blood were tested. Aims An algorithm that alerts implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) patients, in case of abnormal lead impedance (Patient Alert™, Medtronic), may help to recognize lead dysfunction. We aimed to determine the utility of Patient Alert for ICD lead-failure detection in a prospective study. Methods and results Three hundred and sixty ICD patients were followed for 22±14 months. Patient Alert was active for pacing impedance 2000–3000 Ω, and high-voltage conductor impedance 200 Ω. Ten alert events and a total of 29 severe system complications occurred.
