Der Beitrag untersucht die Genese des Bildungromans am Besipiel der Geschichte des Agathon (1766-67) von Ch. M. Wiekand, Genre par exellence der bürgerlichen Schichten des 18. Jh.s., die versuchen, sich zu emanzipieren. Dabei wurde am aufklärerischen Ideal der Perfektibilität des Einzelnen und der Gruppe festgehalten. Mit der Zeit schwindet der Glauben an die potentielle Perfektibilität. In manchen von der Forschung immerhin weiter so bezeichneten 'Bildungsromanen' dient die Ichwerdung weniger der Verbesserung des Einzelnen und der Gesellschaft, als vielmehr dem zutage Treten der Merkmale des 'Andersartigen'. Selten erfolgt die Manipulation des Genre krasser als in G. E. Kolbenheyers Trilog…

The article traces the evolution of the publishing practice in the field of translations undertaken by Alberto Mondadori after the Second World War. Through some letters of the publisher to his collaborators, the analysis highlights the nature of his choices, which were often motivated not only by the desire to publish complete works, but also by personal and political reasons, such as the desire of self‑affirmation, to introduce himself as a “new publisher in a new era”, in clear antithesis with the past.

This essay examines the novel Seltsame Sterne starren zur Erde (2003) of the Turkish-German author Emine Sevgi Özdamar and the collection of essays In Deutschland leben (2004) of Iranian-German poet SAID. The focus of this work intends to show what different aspects multiculturalism may have at each different writers. Özdamar was born in Malatya in 1946. She woked in Germany as an actress, director and writer and became the symbol of a bridge-builder between the eastern and western culture. SAID is one of the most important contemporary Iranian authors. He was born in 1947 in Teheran, he came to Munich as a student in 1965, and this city is now his residence.
