Recent migrations show unprecedented characteristics in terms of migratory routes, individual profiles of migrants and condition of isolation in arrival contexts. Combining sociolinguistic and linguistic perspectives, the article reconstructs the forms of linguistic contact between local and migrant populations in one of the main gateways to Europe, Palermo (Italy), and the specific conditions of local language acquisition by newcomers. Synthesis and Rearrangement of 2-(N-Methyl-N-nitroamino)-4-phenylthiazole

2-(N-Methyl-N-nitroamino)-4-phenylthiazole (5) was prepared and rearranged in aqueous dioxane under influence of sulphuric acid of various concentrations. 2-(N-Methylamino)- 5-nitro-4-phenylthiazole (6) was the only product up to 50% acid concentration. At higher acidities, significant amounts of nitro derivatives 3b and3c, substituted in benzene ring, were also formed. The result indicates that migration of the N-nitro group occurs on the intramolecular path, however, in concentrated sulphuric acid, formation of nitronium ion and ring nitration also takes place.

Celem artykułu jest próba diagnozy i oceny stanu (postaci) wykształcenia ludności na obszarach wiejskich w Polsce, określanego mianem awansu edukacyjnego oraz uwarunkowań jego kształtowania (tło). Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na wzrost znaczenia wykształcenia w kształtowaniu sukcesu zawodowego, zmiany aspiracji edukacyjnych dzieci i ich wsparcia ze strony rodziców, a także korzystne dla wsi dodatnie saldo migracji wewnętrznych. Wprawdzie porównania w tym obszarze z sytuacją w miastach są nadal dla wsi mniej korzystne, ale poprawa charakterystyk staje się wyznacznikiem destygmatyzacji wiejskości i ograniczania marginalizacji polskiej wsi, zwłaszcza w warunkach wewnętrznych migracji na obszary w…

Chronic migraine is a burdensome disease presenting with episodic pain and several symptoms that may persist even among headache attacks. Multisensory integration is modified in migraine, as assessed by the level of the perception of sound-induced flash illusions, a simple paradigm reflecting changes in cortical excitability which reveals to be altered in migraineurs. MIGRATION OF THE HIGHLY EDUCATED: EVIDENCE FROM RESIDENCE SPELLS OF UNIVERSITY GRADUATES*

We examine the inter-regional migration of university graduates from 1991 to 2003 in Finland. The results show that time matters: two-years before and during the graduation year the hazard rates of migration increase, and then decrease thereafter. Although university graduates are particularly mobile, we find that most of them do not move from their region of studies within 10 years after graduation. The out-migration, i.e., brain drain, is much higher among graduates in the more peripheral universities than in the growth centers (Helsinki in particular). Migration is also substantially more likely for those studying away from the home region than for those studying at home. peerReviewed

Red grape Nero d’Avola cultivar grape pomace powder (GPP) was applied during fresh ovine cheese production in order to increase polyphenol content. Before cheeses were produced, the bacteria of a freeze-dried commercial starter culture were isolated and tested in vitro against GPP. Two dominant strains, both resistant to GPP, were identified. Thestarter culture was inoculated in pasteurized ewe’s milk and the curd was divided into two bulks, one added with 1% (w/w) GPP and another one GPP-free. Este trabajo tiene como principal objetivo conocer el grado de presencia de las lenguas de inmigración en el paisaje lingüístico (PL) de Ruzafa en los años 2008 y 2018 desde un planteamiento diacrónico y contrastivo, así como explorar las consecuencias que ha tenido el proceso de gentrificación sobre el paisaje lingüístico de la migración en el barrio. Para ello se ha elaborado un corpus de un total de 212 signos del PL a partir de capturas de pantalla de las imágenes de Google Street View, las cuales pertenecen los años 2008 y 2018 y muestran los rótulos y signos de algunos comercios privados del barrio. Bakalaura darbā veikts pētījums par Gaujas ielejas morfoloģiju lejasteces posmā. Darbā teorētiskajā daļā apzināti agrāk veikto pētījumu rezultāti par Gaujas ielejas ģeomorfoloģisko uzbūvi un veikta literatūras analīze par upju ieleju morfoloģisko uzbūvi un aluvialiem nogulumiem. Darbā rezultatā sagatavotas kartes, kuras balstītas uz Latvijas ģeotelpiskas informācijas aģentūras izveidoto LiDAR zemes virsmas modeli un autores veiktājiem kamerāliem un lauka pētījumiem. Iegūtie rezultāti apstrādāti izmantojot QGis, ArcMap, Streonet un Microsattion datorprogrammas. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina par Gaujas ielejas lejasteces sarežģīto uzbūvi un tas posmveidīgo attīstību deglaciācijas laikā. Darbs ie…
