Esta tesis doctoral se ha realizado dentro del campo de estudio de la química supramolecular y se ha basado en la síntesis de receptores macrocíclicos con unidades 1H-pirazol. Estos receptores pueden formar complejos de coordinación con cationes metálicos y complejos aniónicos con aniones inorgánicos de interés medioambiental mediante la formación de enlaces de hidrógeno intermoleculares. En la Península Ibérica y hasta la fecha, los índices utilizados habitualmente para evaluar y determinar la calidad del agua basados en los macroinvertebrados tienen una aplicación restringida a los ríos, ya que, en los demás ecosistemas acuáticos (lagos, lagunas, humedades, etc.) el comportamiento de dichos índices parece que no aporta conclusiones fiables. Mechanisms involved in lipid accumulation and apoptosis induced by 1-nitropyrene in Hepa1c1c7 cells

International audience; 1-Nitropyrene (1-NP) is a nitro-polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (nitro-PAH) present in diesel exhaust and bound to particular matter in urban air. We show that 1-NP and the referent PAH benzo(a)pyrene (BP) induce apoptosis and a lipid accumulation dependent on cytochrome P450 1A1-metabolites in mouse hepatoma cells, whereas 1-amino-pyrene had no effect. The caspase inhibitor, N-benzyloxycarbonyl-Val-Ala-Asp(O-Me) fluoromethyl ketone (Z-VAD-fmk), inhibits 1-NP-induced apoptosis, but failed to alter 1-NP-triggered lipid accumulation determined by Nile red staining. 13 pages; International audience; Among molluscs, the shell biomineralization process is controlled by a set of extracellular macromolecular components secreted by the calcifying mantle. In spite of several studies, these components are mainly known in bivalves from only few members of pteriomorph groups. In the present case, we investigated the biochemical properties of the aragonitic shell of the freshwater bivalve Unio pictorum (Paleoheterodonta, Unionoida).
