El manuscrito encontrado es uno de los motivos presentes en la mayoría de los libros de caballerías y, si bien se trata de un elemento de origen remoto, su frecuente aparición en estas obras, ha hecho que se convierta en uno de sus rasgos característicos. En este artículo se pone de manifiesto la forma en que se plasma este mismo motivo en El Señor de los Anillos de J.R.R. Tolkien, autor que tenía una especial vinculación con la literatura medieval y con lo hispánico.

Il s’agit de présenter un bref catalogue de manuscrits de maqāmāt yéménites, consultés dans le cadre d’une recherche doctorale sur l’essor du genre maqāma au Yémen. Ce deuxième volet présente les manuscrits conservés dans les bibliothèques privées de l’historien Muḥammad Zabāra et du lettré ‘Abd al-Raḥmān Qādī, à Sanaa, ainsi que ceux de la Bibliothèque Apostolique Vaticane.
