Although hyperreality is not a subject commonly studied in marketing, it characterizes an increasing number of leisure and tourist places. In this article, we build a theoretical model to have a better understanding of this phenomenon in order to define it. This model as well as a study of leisure tourist universes help us to identify the attributes and commercial strategies that are used to create a hyperreal environment. We also explore the strategic opportunities and threats associated with developing hyperreality on commercial grounds.

Based on an ethnographic approach, this paper explores how members of a new age spiritual movement known as ?Llave Mariana? (LLM) build and experience their bodies. At the same time, it develops a thick description of their ritual practices and later it analyzes, delving fundamentally into the phenomenological perspective, how these members shape and transform their forms of self-perception, experience, and representation of others and the environment. Finally, it considers the implications these spiritual practices have in the search and consolidation of alternative ways of being-in-the-world

The present text focuses on a relationship between higher education, institutional and symbolic violence and exclusion, practicing as a challenge based on reflections on the existence of evasion in Brazilian university. Ignoring the educational institution as a direct responsible for these things, this text considers that a logic in University organization and operation helps to enlarge inequalities that provide the mechanisms of evasion; at the same time, it presents itself as a space of reference and a struggle against social inequalities and violence. The determinants which explain the use of non-financial measures in order to evaluate or drive the performance belong to disciplinary (contractual) and knowledge-based approaches. The aim of this paper is to propose a theoretical analysis of these explanations. For the disciplinary view, we realize a typology of the existing literature. We show that others theories explain the choice of non-financial measures too. For the knowledge-based view, we propose a synthesis of the existing literature in which the link between non-financial and theoretical explanations exists. En este trabajo se abordan ideas pseudocientíficas en torno a la influencia de la Luna en nuestro planeta. Para ello se analiza si los libros de Física de Bachillerato y de Educación Superior tratan la influencia de la gravedad de la Luna en la Tierra y cómo lo hacen. Para el análisis se utiliza una muestra de 17 libros de textos de Física de Bachillerato y 17 utilizados en cursos de ciencia e ingeniería (13 de Física, 2 de Óptica y 2 de Astronomía) de distintos años de publicación. The «Vita Barbati» and the «Passio Sanctorum Septem Dormientium» are two hagiographical texts of the Early Middle Ages. Particularly, the «Passio Sanctorum Septem Dormientium» tells a story who had a great circulation through the Middle Ages, from Gregory of Tours to Paul the Deacon and Jacob of Varagine. In this paper the Author can attempt to explain the literary qualities of these two texts (tipology, style, language, "descriptiones personarum", use of the "cursus" and rhetoric topics), trying to demonstrate how hagiographical texts too have often a literary interest, together with its historic and religious significance.

Two visual ERP experiments were conducted to investigate topic and contrast assigned by various cues such as discourse context, sentential position and marker during referential processing in Japanese. Experiment 1 showed that there was no N400-difference for new vs. given noun phrases (NPs) when the new NP was expected (contrastively focused) based on its preceding context and sentential position. Experiment 2 further revealed that the N400 for new NPs can be modulated by the NP’s contrastive meaning (exhausitivity) induced from the marker. Presencia y análisis genético de una tortuga bastarda (Lepidochelys kempii) en el mar Mediterráneo

We report on a juvenile Kemp´s ridley sea turtle, Lepidochelys kempii, captured alive by fishermen in the waters off Alicante (western Mediterranean, Spain) on October 15th 2001. The analysis of a 460 base pair fragment of the mt DNA control region revealed a perfect match with haplotype D previously described in this species. This is the second report of L. kempii in the Mediterranean basin.
