AbstractThis paper studies what goals individuals pursue when enrolling in doctoral studies and how it affects the characteristics of the university they find important for choosing it and information sources on doctoral programme they find useful. It uses data collected in 2014 from PhD students and PhD candidates in 14 universities in Latvia and from students born in Latvia but studying abroad. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, miten taidemuusikoiden menestys nykyään rakentuu ja miten imago ja brändäys vaikuttavat heidän uraansa. Tämän lisäksi tavoitteena oli muodostaa kokonaiskäsitys siitä, minkälaisia haasteita taidemuusikko kohtaa uransa alkuvaiheessa ja minkälaisin ulkomusiikillisin keinoin hänen on mahdollista erottua edukseen muista muusikoista. Comptabilité à base d'activités (ABC) et activités informatiques : une contribution à l'amélioration des processus informatiques d'une banque

The aim of the paper is to describe the Activity-based Costing and Management methods applied in France. For that purpose, we use a literature review and a case study. In a first time, we analyse the origins of the methods and their diffusion. Then we present the French situation. Finally, we propose a case study that takes place in a French bank. Our paper shows that the ABC and ABM methods are as developed in France as in the Anglo-Saxon countries and that the methods are strategically oriented.
