Does corn market uncertainty impact the US ethanol prices?

The growing interest in biofuel as a green energy source has intensified the linkages between corn and ethanol markets, especially in the United States that represents the largest producing and exporting country for ethanol in the world. In this study, we examine the effect of corn market uncertainty on the price changes of US ethanol applying a set of GARCH-jump models. We find that the US ethanol price changes react positively to the corn market volatility shocks after controlling for the effect of oil price uncertainty. Artikkelini aiheena ovat Kuopion koulun taiteilijoiden naisaiheiset teokset. Kuopion kouluksi tai koulukunnaksi kutsuttiin väljää kuvataiteilijoiden ryhmää, jonka ydinhenkilöitä olivat Pauno Pohjolainen (s. 1949), Markku Kolehmainen (s. 1951), Pentti Meklin (s. 1952) ja Teemu Saukkonen (s. 1954). Tarkastelemani teokset ajoittuvat vuosille 1980‒1986 ja ovat ilmaisultaan suurimmaksi osaksi uusekspressionistisia. Analysoin, millaisena nainen esitetään Kuopion koulun teoksissa. Striving for greater economic growth, requires a great understanding of the underlying factors. One of the factors may be the intellectual property rights and the level of its protection. Whether it is and how does it behave are the questions answered by this thesis. The theoretical framework comes mainly from the Schumpeterian growth model. Balstoties uz maģistra darba ietvaros apkopoto informāciju autore sniegusi savu vērtējumu telpiskās attīstības plānošanas izglītības sistēmas uzlabošanai Latvijā.

This paper contributes to process-oriented international business research by showing how three distinct historical approaches can enrich theoretical understanding concerning temporality in firm de-internationalization.
