Conceptual design of the International Axion Observatory (IAXO)
2014
The International Axion Observatory (IAXO) will be a forth generation axion helioscope. As its primary physics goal, IAXO will look for axions or axion-like particles (ALPs) originating in the Sun via the Primakoff conversion of the solar plasma photons. In terms of signal-to-noise ratio, IAXO will be about 4-5 orders of magnitude more sensitive than CAST, currently the most powerful axion helioscope, reaching sensitivity to axion-photon couplings down to a few $\times 10^{-12}$ GeV$^{-1}$ and thus probing a large fraction of the currently unexplored axion and ALP parameter space. IAXO will also be sensitive to solar axions produced by mechanisms mediated by the axion-electron coupling $g_{…
The HOMFLY-PT polynomials of sublinks and the Yokonuma–Hecke algebras
2016
We describe completely the link invariants constructed using Markov traces on the Yokonuma-Hecke algebras in terms of the linking matrix and the HOMFLYPT polynomials of sublinks.
Automatic or manual arterial path for the ankle-brachial differences pulse wave velocity
2018
Este artículo se encuentra disponible en la página web de la revista en la siguiente URL: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0206434 An automated method for measuring arterial path length with devices that determine pulse wave velocity (PWV) in peripheral arteries is frequently applied. We aimed to compare arterial path length measurements based on mathematical height-based formulas with those measured manually and to assess whether the ankle-brachial difference (abD-PWV) measured with the VOPITB device is comparable to that obtained by manual measurements. In 245 patients, a metric measuring tape was used to determine the arterial path length from the suprast…
Identifying childhood movement profiles and comparing differences in mathematical skills between clusters : A latent profile analysis
2021
The aims of this study were; 1) to identify different movement profiles in sixth graders, and 2) to investigate if there are differences in their mathematical basic (BasicMath) and problem solving (ProbSol) skills between existing movement profiles. The sample included 461 (223 girls, 238 boys) students with a mean age of 11.27 +/- .32 years from southern and middle Finland. A latent profile analysis (LPA) revealed four movement profiles: "poor movers", "average movers", "skilled movers" and "expert movers". These profiles differed substantially in their motor competence (MC) and health-related fitness (HRF). A multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) also revealed that "poor movers" and …
Īsi un vienkārši mācāmies pētīt un izprast matemātiku
2020
Studiju materiāli vidusskolas un pamatskolas matemātikas didaktikā matemātikas skolotāju programmas studentiem veidoti, ievērojot šādus principus: • studiju saturs atbilst kursa aprakstam “Skolas matemātikas praktikums II” un palīdz apgūt to, akcentējot mācību pieejas maiņu skolā un augstskolā un parādot dažādus sadarbības veidus; • grāmatas nodaļas veidotas, iekļaujot gan lekciju centrālos jautājumus saistībā ar matemātikas uzdevumiem, gan lekciju uzdevumus to satura jēgas izpratnei; • teorētiskais un praktiskais materiāls nodrošina atgriezeniskās saites iespējas; • komentāri uzdevumu veikšanai sniegti, balstoties uz praktiskām dzīves situācijām.
