Abstract Data revealing the phase and chemical compositions of natural black sands from “El Ostional” beach, located in the northern Ecuadorian Pacific coast have been presented. The samples were collected from six points over the shore area of approximately 500 × 40 m2. The data on crystalline phases (iron titanium oxide, orthoclase feldspar and zircon) were determined by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), while semi-quantitative chemical analyses of major (Fe and Ti) and trace elements were obtained by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). Background: Inspired by the work of Benner and colleagues at Carnegie Foundation, a new course in nursing was implemented in the first study year’s curriculum in the bachelor program in nursing. The new nursing course included a shift from a lecture-only classroom based approach to a problem-based and case-based approach. Objective: To compare the perceptions of students and teachers of the “Educational Climate” (EC) in Spanish public dental schools. Methods: A group of 1064 students and 354 teachers from six Spanish public dental schools responded to the DREEM questionnaire. This has 50 items grouped into five subscales: perception of learning (Learning); perception of teachers (Teachers); academic self-perceptions (Academic); perception of the atmosphere in the faculty (Atmosphere); and social self-perceptions (Social). The dataset provides information on Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PPCPs) detected in the Albufera Natural Park (Valencia, Spain), a typical Mediterranean coastal wetland. These PPCPs constitute an important group of organic pollutants highly representative of the human impact. The concentrations values measured in soil, sediment and water and the statistical relationship of contaminants between them and with the environmental parameters could help to understand their fate in different compartments. A variety of methods has been designed to annotate sequences on a large scale.
