L'articolo riflette sul processo di istituzionalizzazione della Consulta delle Culture del Comune di Palermo, istituita nel 2013, ed analizza la campagna elettorare del 2018 a partire dalle interviste ad alcuni candidati e testimoni privilegiati. The article concerns the institutionalization process of the Council of Cultures of the Municipality of Palermo, established in 2013. Furthermore, it analyzes the 2018 electoral campaign starting from interviews with some candidates and privilege witnesses.

Today, migrants are a resource for the trade union, which is declining in membership and popularity, as it is for this category. The central function is still linked to services and information support. But the presence of new users to be protected and represented required a profound organisational and cultural transformation within the union, which has not yet been fully achieved throughout the country. The chapter analyses the data and reasons for migrants joining trade unions.

Although in the public debate immigration is considered as an emergency, this paper begins taking into account the real data of such a phenomenon, strongly decreased in the past 18 months. It is then examined the issue of the illegal immigrant in Italy from a criminal law standpoint, in order to overcome the idea of reducing it to trafficking, focusing rather on the human nature of each individual, always involved in the crime of aiding and abetting illegal immigration, not being the perpetrator of the said offence. This study analyses posts and comments on a popular social network (Facebook) in order to investigate how web-users take advantage of participative platforms to post ideologically-driven comments, and how the exchanges create echo chambers. Both, autochthonous and imported cases of urogenital schistosomiasis have been described in Europe. The present study focuses on eggs, considered pure S. haematobium by genetic characterisation (intergenic ITS region of the rDNA and cox1 mtDNA). A phenotypic characterisation of S. haematobium eggs was made by morphometric comparison with experimental populations of S. bovis and S. mansoni, to help in the diagnosis of S. haematobium populations infecting sub-Saharan migrants in Spain. Pustular lesions and itching in a couple of young migrants

Two teenage illegal migrants from Bangladesh coming from a Libyan port arrived at Lampedusa Island-Italy. The health authorities, having noticed the presence of pustules on the limbs and genitals, suspecting a monkeypox virus infection, have urgently transferred them to the University Hospital of Palermo. They mentioned itching and prior sexual contact. On inspection, itching lesions and pustular lesions with central crusted umbilication and erythematous bases were detected. One of them had also fever and increased c-reactive protein. A real-time polymerase chain reaction assay on vesicle swabs to research monkeypoxvirus DNA and HIV serology was performed for both patients.
