W artykule przedstawiono stań badań nad dziejami wojskowości Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów w XVIII wieku. Analizie poddano przede wszystkim historyków polskich, bez wprowadzenia ograniczeń chronologicznych, a tym samym od XIX wieku do dnia dzisiejszego. Uwzględniono też, choć na ograniczoną skalę, prace badaczy z innych krajów, przede wszystkim tych, które uznają się w jakimś stopniu za spadkobierców tradycji Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów oraz państw z nią sąsiadujących w XVIII wieku. Introduction. The physical fitness of male conscripts has decreased, and body mass increased during the last few decades, especially in Nordic countries. However, limited research-based reports are available concerning the physical fitness profiles of female recruits. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate changes in physical fitness and body composition of female recruits entering voluntary Finnish military service between the years 2005 and 2015. Discussing the latest scientific findings, we have prepared this article to present a state-of-the-art approach to the inguinal hernia repair. This approach is used for discussing the general principles of hernia repair in German military hospitals. Quality assurance requires that all hernias be classified during surgery on the basis of a standardized approach for an objective comparison of treatment and outcomes. W czasie II wojny światowej w niemieckiej niewoli przetrzymywanych było około 20 tys. polskich oficerów. Więzieni byli w pierwszych latach niewoli w kilkunastu, a od końca 1942 r. czterech oflagach: II C Woldenberg (Dobiegniew), VIIA Murnau, II D Gross Born (Borne Sulinowo), VI B Dóssel. Oficerowie zawodowi stanowili około 35% jeńców oflagów. W specyficznych warunkach, w jakich się znaleźli, wyłączeni czasowo z walki, dalej pozostawali żołnierzami. Najstarszą i najdłużej działająca instytucją kontrolującą media w komunistycznej Polsce była cenzura wojskowa powstała pod koniec II wojny światowej. Służba ta zorganizowana była na wzór cenzury sowieckiej i pod kierownictwem oficerów sowieckiego wywiadu wojskowego – GRU. Cenzorzy wojskowy kontrolowali oprócz wydawnictw wojskowych również media cywilne.
