Sometimes local administrators, even when well intentioned, contribute to the destruction of some monuments tied to the collective memory of a community. This happens when they decide to cover streams or remove boulders and with them the names by which they have been known to the community. In this way they cancel significant references for local toponymy. Soil geography and diversity of the European biogeographical regions

For decades, soil geography has beenmainly a qualitative and descriptive discipline. There are nowtechnologies and mathematical tools available that allow formalizing soil geography in more quantitative terms. In this paper, the distribution and diversity of the soils of Europe are analyzed using GIS tools and pedodiversity algorithms. Soil data were taken from the European Soil Database (V2.0) and computed within the spatial framework of the Biogeographical Regions of Europe (BGRE) as defined by the European Environmental Agency (EEA) on the basis of climate and vegetation. Abstract Background In Europe, increases in HCV infection have been observed over the last two decades in MSM, making them a key population for recently acquired HCV. Alternative combinations of direct-acting antiviral agents against early HCV infection need to be assessed. Patients and methods In this pilot trial, MSM with recently acquired genotype 1 or 4 HCV infection were prospectively included and received 8 weeks of oral grazoprevir 100 mg and elbasvir 50 mg in a fixed-dose combination administered once daily. Darba nosaukums ir “Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedoklis par toleranci pret LGBT”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedokli par toleranci pret LGBT. Darbā tika izvirzītas divas hipotēzes: 1) Rīgas iedzīvotāji, kuriem ir augstāks zināšanu līmenis par LGBT, ir tolerantāki pret kopienu; 2) Rīgas iedzīvotāji, kuru paziņu lokā ir vairāk LGBT personas, ir tolerantāki. Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedoklis par toleranci pret LGBT tika analizēts, izmantojot interneta aptaujā iegūtos datus (n = 243). Resumen Este artículo analiza las concepciones sobre la libertad de expresión en el caso del lenguaje del odio, centrándose en algunos aspectos de la perspectiva norteamericana y en algunos aspectos de la perspectiva alemana. El primer modelo está basado en la libertad negativa y se corresponde con la visión del mercado de las ideas que ha elaborado la jurisprudencia de la Corte Suprema norteamericana. Tämä tutkimus kohdistui seksuaalivähemmistöihin kuuluviin urheilijoihin ja liikkujiin (N = 155, juridisesti 93 naista ja 62 miestä) ja heidän kokemaansa sukupuoleen perustuvaan ja seksuaaliseen häirintään joukkueessa tai muussa liikuntaryhmässä.
