Relevance of Tool Life Testing for Tool Replacement Strategies

Several analytical and simulation models have been proposed in order to select the optimal tool replacement strategies both in single and multi-tool machining operations. All of these models, however, assume as known the probability density function that describes the stochastic behaviour of tool life. The costly efforts required in order to achieve an accurate estimate of the p.d.f. limits the use in the shop practice of the above models.
A simple model of income, aggregate demand and the process of credit creation by private banks

This paper presents a small macroeconomic model describing the main mechanisms of the process of creation by the private banking system. The model is composed of a core unit-where the dynamics of income, credit and aggregate demand are determined-and a set of sectoral accounts that ensure its stock-flow consistency. The present study investigated and compared the psychometric properties of the social media disorder (SMD) scale among young adolescents from different countries. Design: Validation study.
