As a new way of shopping, e-commerce live streaming (ELS) has gained unprecedented growth and popularity in the past years, especially in China. Because of the considerable rivalry in the ELS market, users frequently switch between ELS platforms. However, the switching intention of ELS users is yet to be explored for gaining new knowledge and practical insights. On Discovering Low Order Models in Biochemical Reaction Kinetics

We develop a method by which a large number of differential equations representing biochemical reaction kinetics may be represented by a smaller number of differential equations. The basis of our technique is a conjecture that the high dimension equations of biochemical kinetics, which involve reaction terms of specific forms, are actually implementing a low dimension system whose behavior requires right hand sides that can not be biochemically implemented. What Can International Finance Add to International Strategy?

This chapter focuses on the role of corporate financial strategies to improve firms’ market valuations, and thus lower their cost of capital. The identification of successful strategies is accomplished within an overall strategic framework and related to how the firm perceives the degree of international financial integration. Five strategies for how to break out of a segmented, thin domestic capital market are highlighted together with historical success cases. The chapter illustrates the linkages between business strategy, firm motivation, and various financial strategies. JEL: F21, F23, F36, G32, G34.

Methods based on the use of multivariate autoregressive models (MVAR) have proved to be an accurate tool for the estimation of functional links between the activity originated in different brain regions. Measuring Connectivity in Linear Multivariate Processes: Definitions, Interpretation, and Practical Analysis

This tutorial paper introduces a common framework for the evaluation of widely used frequency-domain measures of coupling (coherence, partial coherence) and causality (directed coherence, partial directed coherence) from the parametric representation of linear multivariate (MV) processes. After providing a comprehensive time-domain definition of the various forms of connectivity observed in MV processes, we particularize them to MV autoregressive (MVAR) processes and derive the corresponding frequency-domain measures.
