The article, based on the theory of Barbara Fredrickson (1998), shows the connection of positive emotions (satisfaction,joy) and negative emotions (sadness, disgust) with positive orientation, the belief that life is a zero-sum game and emerging ruminations. Emotions were induced by means of multimedia induction, one for each of the emotions. Dependent variables were measured using the “Positive Orientation” questionnaires by Łaguna, Oleś i Filipiuk (2011), “Scale of Belief in a Zero-sum Game” by Różycka and Wojciszke (2010) and “Ruminations Questionnaire” Baryły and Wojciszke (2005). 120 students took part in the study (59 men and 61 women at the age of M=22.4). The article is a part of the discussion on language education in L1 in a modern school. The vision presented in it is based on poststructuralist linguistic concepts, in which language is perceived in a non-systemic way, giving it a humanistic, anthropological-subjective, and cognitive dimension. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis bija noteikt, vai/kādas saistības 19–25 gadus vecu studentu izlasē pastāv starp tendenci izjust vainu, prosociālu orientāciju un dusmu reakcijām. Korelatīva dizaina pētījumā 114 studentu (19 vīriešu, 95 sieviešu) izlasē (M=21,78 gadi, SD=1,99) tika izmantota Vainas izjūtas kā personības iezīmes skala no Vainas izjūtas aptaujas, Prosociālās orientācijas aptauja un Dusmu reakciju aptauja. Rezultātu analīze neuzrādīja saistību starp tendenci izjust vainu un prosociālu orientāciju, savukārt tendence izjust vainu statistiski nozīmīgi korelēja ar dusmu ruminēšanu.
