Objectives: The minimal surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence with endoscopic operation has four basic advantages compared with traditional open procedures: decreased blood loss due to better visualization of the space of Retzius, decreased postoperative pain, shorter hospitalization and faster recovery. Objectives: To evaluate the results of the laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy using a polypropylene mesh. Methods: We performed laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy on 64 pts who presented a prolapse of the vaginal vault between the II and the IV degree according to HWS classification. The mean age was 65 (range 58-76) with variable parity. The vaginal vault prolapse was present after abdominal hysterectomy in 33 pts.(51%) and after vaginal hysterectomy in 24 pts. (38%). 7 pts. Analogs of juvenoid hormones are increasingly recommended for controlling insect pests in agriculture. One of these analogs, pyriproxyfen, was found to be very potent in inducing male production in Daphnia under laboratory conditions, even after acute exposure. Other studies also demonstrated a major role of juvenoid hormones for the sex determination in arthropods that have sex chromosomes. We exposed parthenogenetic lineages of the freshwater ostracod Eucypris virens to a wide range of pyriproxyfen concentrations, and compared mortality and fecundity between treated and control animals. Holocene climate was characterised by variability on multi-centennial to multi-decadal time scales. In central Europe, these fluctuations were most pronounced during winter. Here we present a record of past winter climate variability for the last 10.8 ka based on four speleothems from Bunker Cave, western Germany. Due to its central European location, the cave site is particularly well suited to record changes in precipitation and temperature in response to changes in the North Atlantic realm. From 2003 to 2005, freshwater ostracods were sampled in 67 water bodies of mainland Sicily (Provinces of Agrigento, Caltanisetta, Catania, Enna, Palermo, Messina, Ragusa, Siracusa and Trapani) located from sea level up to 1300 m a.s.l. This survey took into account streams, springs, wells, but especially temporary and ephemeral habitats (e.g., flooded meadows, temporary ponds). The role of 18F-FDG PET/CT in early infectious discitis: a case report after a negative MRI

We present the case of a 70 years old woman with infectious discitis which was detected using Fluorine fluodeoxiglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT), after a negative magnetic resonance imaging. A Streptococuss gallolyticus (bovis gender bacteria) grow on culture. In addition 18F-FDG PET also demonstrated infectious endocarditis which was confirmed by transesophageal echocardiography and a colonic neoplasm. Here we have highlighted the potential role of 18F-FDG PET/CT study in patients with a clinical history suggestive of infectious discitis with a negative or indifferent magnetic resonance imaging. Lapsen osallisuutta on tutkittu paljon viime vuosina. Huomion ulkopuolelle ovat kuitenkin jääneet erityistä tukea tarvitsevat lapset ja heidän sosiaalinen osallisuutensa. Tästä syystä aihetta on tärkeää tutkia ja tarkentaa tutkimuksen fokus sosiaaliseen osallisuuteen, sillä ei tiedetä tarkemmin, miten sosiaalinen osallisuus erityistä tukea tarvitsevien lasten kohdalla rakentuu.
