Equivalence of viscosity and weak solutions for the normalized $p(x)$-Laplacian

We show that viscosity solutions to the normalized $p(x)$-Laplace equation coincide with distributional weak solutions to the strong $p(x)$-Laplace equation when $p$ is Lipschitz and $\inf p>1$. This yields $C^{1,\alpha}$ regularity for the viscosity solutions of the normalized $p(x)$-Laplace equation. As an additional application, we prove a Rad\'o-type removability theorem.

In this article we consider a linearized Calderón problem for polyharmonic operators of order 2m (m ≥ 2) in the spirit of Calderón’s original work [7]. We give a uniqueness result for determining coefficients of order ≤ 2m − 1 up to gauge, based on inverting momentum ray transforms. peerReviewed

Spectral multipliers and wave equation for sub-Laplacians: lower regularity bounds of Euclidean type

Let $\mathscr{L}$ be a smooth second-order real differential operator in divergence form on a manifold of dimension $n$. Under a bracket-generating condition, we show that the ranges of validity of spectral multiplier estimates of Mihlin--H\"ormander type and wave propagator estimates of Miyachi--Peral type for $\mathscr{L}$ cannot be wider than the corresponding ranges for the Laplace operator on $\mathbb{R}^n$. The result applies to all sub-Laplacians on Carnot groups and more general sub-Riemannian manifolds, without restrictions on the step. Expression of p63, p53 and ki-67 in patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia

Objective: Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is a dysplastic process in cervical squamous epithelium and carries a risk of progression to cervical cancer. The aim of this study was to compare expression of three biomarkers named p53, p63 and Ki-67 in patients with various grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and in a control group. Material and Method: 58 patients were enrolled in the study. Each patient underwent a colposcopy-guided biopsy of the cervix. En este trabajo hemos estudiado las diferentes conductas abusivas en una muestra de sujetos condenados por abuso sexual y su relación con variables de personalidad. Nuestros datos apoyan que las distintas conductas abusivas estudiadas en relación al abuso sexual de menores, se agrupan en patrones o “estilos abusivos”, que guardan relación entre sí y que permiten diferenciar unos sujetos de otros en función de las prácticas abusivas.• Nuestros resultados apoyan también que el grupo de abusadores sexuales de menores es muy heterogéneo en cuanto a características de personalidad y que, como grupo, no presenta puntuaciones elevadas en ninguna de las escalas de personalidad o psicopatología eval…
Battery- and Petrol-Powered Chainsaws: An Investigation of Productivity in Conifer Thinning

In recent years, battery technology has been greatly improved and some types of battery chainsaws are currently comparable with light-type petrol machines, suggesting their possible introduction into forest operations. In this context, the aim of this study was to test and compare the performance, in a Douglas-fir thinning, of two chainsaws similar in terms of weight and power, the Stihl MS 220 CB battery-powered saw and the Stihl MS 201 CM petrol-powered saw, measuring the working times and calculating the productivities.
