We sought to determine how changes in strain impact timing of new do-not-resuscitate (DNR) orders and of death.Retrospective cohort study of 9891 patients dying in the hospital following an ICU stay ≥72 h in Project IMPACT, 2001-2008. Purpose: To analyse the visual quality achieved by fitting corneo-scleral contact lenses (CScL) in an uncommon case of bilateral keratoconus, high hyperopia and astigmatism. Methods: A 45-year-old man presented for eye examination due to the unsatisfactory quality of his vision wearing soft toric contact lenses. He presented high hyperopia and astigmatism with bilateral keratoconus. He was fitted with CScL to correct his irregular astigmatism and ocular aberrations. At present a complete in vivo work on the identification of CaSR mRNA-expressing cells in the adult brain lacks and this investigation was undertaken in order to acquire more information on cell type expressing CaSR mRNA in the rat brain and to analyse for the first time its expression in different experimental models of brain injury. Some approximation properties of ( p , q ) $(p,q)$ -Bernstein operators

This paper is concerned with the $(p,q)$ -analog of Bernstein operators. It is proved that, when the function is convex, the $(p,q)$ -Bernstein operators are monotonic decreasing, as in the classical case. Also, some numerical examples based on Maple algorithms that verify these properties are considered. A global approximation theorem by means of the Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness and a Voronovskaja type theorem are proved.

Women executives and financing pecking order of GEM-listed companies: Moderating roles of social capital and regional institutional environment

Abstract This paper investigates the financing options of female executives within China’s unique environment. We examined 154 GEM enterprises listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange from 2009 to 2016. The data were analyzed using statistical procedures including multilevel regression analysis based on the existing financing pecking order models. Empirical evidence shows that women executives are less likely to use internal and debt financing. In terms of internal financing willingness, social capital and external institutional environment have negative and positive moderating effects respectively.
