E.Ķemeres bakalaura darbs “Ķemeru Nacionālā parka izmantošanas iespējas dabaszinību apguvē”, izstrādāts ar mērķi pētīt mācību pārgājiena nozīmi un tā iespējas, izmantojot ĶNP teritoriju. Darbā analizēta mācīšanās loma dabā un mācību pārgājiena nozīme dabaszinību tēmu apguvē. Veikts sākumskolas skolotāju pētījums ar mērķi noskaidrot viņu viedokli par pārgājiena lomu mācību procesā un pieredzi dodoties mācību pārgājienos Ķemeru Nacionālajā parkā (ĶNP). Pētīti un apkopoti dati par 4.klases skolēnu iegūtajām zināšanām mācību pārgājienos ĶNP.

Sausiem, kaļķainiem zālājiem ir augsta botāniskā vērtība, kas nodrošina arī daudzveidīgas un raksturīgas faunas pastāvēšanu. Taisnspārņi ir nozīmīga dabisko zālāju ekosistēmu sastāvdaļa. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt iespējas izmantot taisnspārņus sausu,kaļķainu zālāju kvalitātes un apsaimniekošanas indikācijā. Dabas parkā „Abavas senleja” dažādas kvalitātes, dažādi apsaimniekotos kaļķainos zālājos un kultivētos zālājos tika ievākti taisnspārņu paraugi un raksturota veģetācija. Lielākā taisnspārņu daudzveidība konstatēta ekstensīvi ganītos, kaļķainos zālājos, bet zālāju apsaimniekošanas pārtraukšana negatīvi ietekmēja taisnspārņu daudzveidību un populāciju blīvumu. Many protected areas have been under intensive forest management prior to protection and thus lack natural ecosystem structures and dynamics. Dead wood is a key structure in forests harboring hundreds of threatened species. We investigated the ecological success of dead wood creation as a boreal forest restoration measure. We analysed whether the polypore communities of chain-saw felled and girdled (subsequently fallen) Norway spruce ( (L.) H. Maģistra darbā ir izstrādātas vadlīnijas dendroloģisko vērtīgo parku plānošanai. Darbā ir apskatīti 15 dendroloģiski vērtīgi parki un detāli ir analizēti seši aizsargājami dendroloģiskie dendroloģiski vērtīgi parki. Darbā norādīts, ka daudzi no dendroloģiski vērtīgiem parkiem, pašreiz netiek apsaimniekoti, tajos nav atbilstošu dendroloģisko vērtību un tie vairs neatbilst aizsargājamas teritorijas statusam. The present paper aims to compare the image of the eco-tourist across languages and cultures, Canadian and Italian. An ad-hoc comparable corpus has been created from the official websites of National Parks which represent a kind of eco-tourist destination. The analysis attempts to trace a profile of Canadian and Italian eco-tourists Drawing upon the Functional Grammar (Halliday 1985) and addresses issues connected with Hall’s model (1983): Are Canadian and Italian ecotourism discourses shaped by their own cultural orientation, or do they attempt to speak in the tongue of the displaced tourist?

Understanding spatial and temporal habitat-use patterns to protect both foraging and breeding grounds of species of concern is crucial for successful conservation. Saona Island in Del Este National Park (DENP), south-eastern Dominican Republic (DR), hosts the only major hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata) nesting area in the DR (100 nests yr �1 , SD = 8.4, range = 93�111), with the population having been critically reduced through hunting. The basal ganglia have been proposed as one of the neural correlates of timekeeping functions. Both encoding and memory retrieval components for time perception are impaired in Parkinson's disease (PD). The aim of our study was to investigate in hemi-Parkinsonian patients the existence of a specific alteration in memory for time depending on the affected side, to better understand the contribution of the left or right basal ganglia circuits in different components of time perception.
