Bakalaura darba tēmu, “ANO Statūtu 51. pants – valstu prakse un problemātika”, autors izvēlējās, jo ANO Statūtu līgums ir vēsturiski veiksmīgākais starptautiskais miera uzturēšanas līgums. Tāpēc autors kā darba mērķi uzņēmās izpētīt, ar kādiem šķēršļiem ANO saskārās tā darbības laikā, attiecībā uz vienu no diskutētākajiem starptautisko tiesību principiem – pašaizsardzības principu. Darbā vispirms tiek pētīta starptautisko tiesību vēsturiskā attīstība, attiecībā uz atteikšanos no kara jēdziena lietošanas, kā arī tiesu prakse bruņota spēka pielietošanas jēdziena definēšanā. Bakalaura darbs izstrādāts par tēmu „Bērns ar individuālām īpatnībām pedagoģiskajā procesā pirmsskolā”. Pētījuma aktualitāti noteica izmaiņas mūsdienu skatījumā uz tādiem bērniem, turklāt daudzas ģimenes un audzinatājas nezin, kā pareizi rīkoties un strādāt šādā situācijā. Darba mērķis ir noteikt darbam ar tādiem bērniem atbilstošas pedagoģiskās darbības pirmsskolas pedagoģiskajā procesā. Pētījums sastāv no 2 daļām – teorētiskās un praktiskās. Monolītiska silīcija dioksīda iegūšana ar sola-gela metodi

Darbā pilnveidota SiO2 sola-gela sintēzes metode ar mērķi iegūt monolītiskus, optiski caurspīdīgus, nesaplaisājušus paraugus. SiO2 paraugu konsolidācijas process pētīts, tos pakāpeniski izkarsējot gaisā, skābeklī vai ūdeņradī. SiO2 paraugu īpašību pētījumos izmantotas struktūranalīzes, termogravimetrijas, optiskās spektroskopijas un elektronu mikroskopijas metodes. Darbā iegūts stiklveida monolītisks SiO2, pie termiskās apstrādes temperatūrām 600 °C un augstākām. Sintezētajos paraugos novērota palielināta 3-locekļu SiO2 saišu gredzenu koncentrācija, kā arī brīvās un ar ūdeņraža saiti saistītās silanolgrupas (Si-O-H). Metālisko elementu saturs augsnē Liepājas Ziemeļu fortu teritorijā. Butkus D., darba vadītāja Mg. chem., lektore Balcerbule Z. Bakalaura darbs, 45 lappuses, 21 attēls, 18 tabulas, 32 literatūras avoti, 4 pielikumi. Latviešu valodā. Darbā ir veikta metālisko elementu analīze Ziemeļu fortu teritorijā ņemtajos augsnes paraugos. Augsnes izvilkumi gatavoti HNO3 šķīdumos, veikta arī mineralizācija ar mikroviļņu enerģiju. Elementu koncentrācijas tika noteiktas ar liesmas atomabsorbciometrijas un ICP – MS metodēm. Iegūtie rezultāti tika salīdzināti ar LR MK augsnes un grunts kvalitātes normatīviem un literatūrā pieejamiem datiem.

Giant hepatocellular adenoma as cause of severe abdominal pain: a case report

Abstract The authors describe the case of a large hepatocellular adenoma diagnosed in a 30-year old woman who came to us complaining of acute pain in the upper abdominal quadrants. The patient had been taking an oral contraceptive pill for the last ten years. We present the clinical features, the diagnostic work-up and the treatment prescribed.

The path of "transfiguration" inherent in living interprets the complementarity between man and his environment and reveals the poetic capacity of architecture. Thus, it may be interesting to understand how the interaction between body and space can make us regain possession of the most problematic places, within a mental and transcendent dimension.
Autotrophic and Heterotrophic Picoplankton in Wetlands: Differences with Lake Patterns

This study describes the occurrence, importance and seasonal patterns of picoplankton in two wetlands (TDNP and La Safor), and compares them to a system of fifteen interconnected lakes (Ruidera). In TDNP we performed a six-year monthly study in three sites of the wetland. Bacterial abundance increased throughout time and the autotrophic picoplankton (APP) range was wide (up to 33 x 10 6 cells/ml). The annual averaged APP contribution to total picoplankton and phytoplankton biovolumes was 0.5-22% and 0.03-6% respectively. A Digital Twin for Lift Planning With Offshore Heave Compensated Cranes

Abstract This paper presents a state-of-the-art digital twin of a hydraulic actuated winch that is used for heave compensation in offshore applications. The digital twin is used as part of a larger simulation model that involves all necessary components to perform lift planning and, subsequently, determine the corresponding weather window. The winch simulation model is described and verified by means of full-scale measurements. In addition, a set of acceptance criteria are presented that should be used whenever verifying digital twins of heave compensating winches that are to be used for lift planning.
