Background This article uses the logistic regression model for diagnostic decision making in patients with chronic nasal symptoms. We studied the ability of the logistic regression model, obtained by the evaluation of a database, to detect patients with positive allergy skin-prick test (SPT) and patients with negative SPT. The model developed was validated using the data set obtained from another medical institution. Epizodiskas sistēmiskas hipoksijas ietekme uz ķīmijrefleksa jutību

Īslaicīga normobāriska hipoksija treniņu laikā pozitīvi ietekmē organisma adaptācijas reakcijas. Tomēr precīzi mehānismi, kas to ietekmē, nav zināmi un tiek vēl pētīti. Šajā bakalaura darbā tiks apskatīti ķīmijreflksa jutību raksturojošo plaušu ventilācijas parametru, sirdsdarbības frekvences un sistoles tilpuma, kā arī gāzu maiņas ekvivalentu atkarība no akūtas normobāriskas hipoksijas dziļuma un ilguma fizioloģiskā miera stāvoklī. Pētījuma rezultāti rāda, ka ķīmijrefleksa jutībai ir tendence palielināties, palielinot normobāriskas hipoksijas dziļumu.

Mērķis: Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izvērtēt miega higiēnas paradumus Latvijas pusaudžu vidū un analizēt faktorus, kas ietekmē jauniešu miega higiēnu. Izmantotās metodes: Piecās Latvijas skolās tika veikts iedzīvotāju šķērsgriezuma pētījums. Pusaudžiem tika lūgts aizpildīt anketu par miega higiēnas indeksu (SHI), un tā parametri tika novērtēti attiecībā uz svara procentīli, vecumu, dzimumu un miega kvalitātes pašnovērtējumu. Statistikā analīze tika veikta, izmantojot SPSS programmatūru ar būtiskuma slieksni p < 0.05. Työssä tarkasteltiin improvisoituja melodioita, joiden parissa jazz-muusikoiden yleisesti käyttämän sointu-skaala -teorian selitysvoima voidaan kyseenalaistaa. Methenyn improvisaatioissa esiintyy paljon tämän kaltaisia melodioita. Tutkimuksen taustahypoteesin mukaan Metheny rakentaa melodialinjojaan ainakin jossain määrin soittimen rakenteen ja soittotekniikan ehdoilla.
