In different parts of the world, unique versions of Marxist psychology emerged as answers to questions and problems raised by specific historical contexts. As shown in the early 21st century scholarly interventions in Lev Vygotsky studies, the Soviet psychologist’s work was deeply embedded in the sociopolitical, cultural, and ideological context of early Soviet Russia. The Church is at all times guiding the truth and credibility of the Gospel. Reflecting on the role of the New Evangelization in the family, it is worth stopping at the concept and meaning of the family. The family is holy, as St. John Paul II is a place where life is properly protected and can develop. The family is a community of people who aspires to eternal life. In Christian terms, the family is a community of parents and children built on the relationship of man and woman. As the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church of Lumen Gentium emphasizes, the family is referred to as the home church. This is where the functions of the Church are fulfilled: priesthood, royal and prophetic.

Among the pages of an off-print of Franz Cumont preserved at the Academia Belgica, an unpublished letter by Paul Perdrizet (1870-1937) has recently been discovered. Paul Perdrizet was a Hellenist, an archaeologist and the author of a number of publications relative to Greece, Anatolia, the Near East and to Egypt under Hellenic influence. In that letter Perdrizet airs fierce criticisms against Egyptian Hellenism in the Lagid era. The analysis of that document and of the intellectual context wherein it takes place provides an opportunity to ponder the perception Franz Cumont had of the land of the Pharaos and his way of interpreting the encounter between Hellenic culture and Egyptian culture …

COronaVIrus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a newly emerging infectious disease that spread across the world, caused by the novel coronavirus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Despite the advancements in science that led to the creation of the vaccine, there is still an urgent need for new antiviral drugs effective against SARS-CoV-2. This study aimed to investigate the antiviral effect of Paulownia tomentosa Steud extract against SARS-CoV-2 and to evaluate its antioxidant properties, including respiratory smooth muscle relaxant effects.
