Promoting Cooperation between Educational Institutions and Workplaces : Models of Integrative Pedagogy and Connectivity Revisited

This theoretical review reflects on the development and application of the Integrative Pedagogical model as well as the Connective model investigating the organisation of learning in the interface between educational institutions and workplaces. The article explores the aspects that these two models emphasise, and identifies similarities and differences between them. Key studies on these approaches were reviewed to accomplish the task. Tiivistelmä Muuttuvan työelämän tarpeet ohjaavat entistä painokkaammin kehittämään yhteistyötä korkeakoulutuksen ja työelämän välillä sekä vahvistamaan jatkuvan oppimisen kulttuuria. Yksilötasolla paremmat yleiset työelämätaidot avaavat uusia työllistymismahdollisuuksia ja tukevat opiskelijaa opitun soveltamisessa. Evaluation of Student Teachers’ Perceived Quantitative Workload and Usefulness of an On-line Elementary Science Education Course Unit

We have designed a 1 ECTS on-line science pedagogy unit as a part of a 6 ECTS science education course for elementary school student teachers. To improve the unit, we asked 169 participants to estimate their use of time and the usefulness of the themes and contents in it. We analysed the responses in the framework of students’ perceived workload. The Basics of School Science was perceived as the most useful section, followed by Science Teaching and Learning Methods and Basics of Science and Scientific Knowledge in Schools, respectively. Interaction between students and class teachers in vocational education and training: ‘Safety distance is needed’

Interaction between students and teachers is fundamental and has therefore been widely studied in education. However, there have been few studies on intensive spe-cial support being provided to vocational education and training (VET) students. Firstly, the focus of this article is on students’ perceptions of interactions with their class teachers. Students (aged 17–34 years) from four Finnish vocational institutions providing intensive special support were interviewed. Głównym celem artykułu jest wykazanie obecności współczesnych założeń pedagogiki integralnej w postulatach dydaktycznych Ludwiki Jeleńskiej (1885-1961). Rozważania wpisują się w historyczne badania pedagogiczne, w których zastosowana jest metoda analizy i krytyki źródeł. W pierwszym punkcie dokonana jest operacjonalizacja pojęcia „pedagogika integralna”. Drugi punkt zawiera prezentację obecności myśli dydaktycznej L. Jeleńskiej we współczesnej literaturze pedagogicznej. W trzecim punkcie zrelacjonowane są wyniki analizy dydaktyki L. Jeleńskiej w perspektywie dzisiejszych założeń pedagogiki integralnej. Trombona spēles pedagoģija bieži vien izmanto paņēmienus un metodes, kas ir pretrunā ar cilvēka ķermeņa darbības fizioloģiskajiem principiem un var gan kavēt un ierobežot instrumentspēles prasmju attīstību, gan radīt kaitējumus mūziķa veselībai. Ārvalstu mūzikas pedagoģijas zinātniskajā literatūrā arvien lielāks uzsvars tiek likts uz cilvēka darbības psiholoģisko un fizioloģisko mehānismu un likumsakarību integrēšanu pedagoģiskajā procesā.
