Objective The objective of this study was to compare dental radiographs printed on glossy paper from calibrated low-cost printers with monitor display. Study design Three typical intraoral radiographs were selected and a questionnaire was developed with questions assessing accuracy and subjective quality. A test pattern was designed for printer calibration. After calibration, radiographs were printed on glossy paper with 3 ink-jet and 2 thermo-sublimation printers. Sixteen raters evaluated the printed radiographs, 9 of them also on standardized viewing monitors. A number of recent studies have suggested a relationship between Ewing's sarcoma (ES) and other small round cell tumours of childhood such as peripheral neuroepithelioma (PN). We report scanning electron microscopic studies on the character of induced neural differentiation in ES, neuroblastoma, PN, osteosarcoma and colon carcinoma. We found evidence of neural differentiation in both neural lines and in one of two Ewing's lines before treatment. Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor of the maxila

Summary We present a case of a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor [MPNST] of the maxilla corresponding to a 12 year old male who had a painful, ulcerated rapid growing tumor. Histology revealed the presence of a tumor consisting of fusiform cells with abundant mitosis, with negative cytokeratins, actin, desmin, myoglobin and factor VIII. In contrast, the protein S-100 was positive. MPNST was not associated with signs of Neurofibromatosis Type 1. The patient was surgically intervened and received radiotherapy, then died within 10 months posterior to surgical intervention after suffering recurrence.

BELIEF is a pivotal, single-arm study of belinostat in patients with R/R PTCL after failure of ≥1 prior systemic therapies. Methods: Entry criteria were measurable PTCL, platelets ≥ 50,000/µL, no prior HDACi therapy, and adequate organ function. PTCL was confirmed by central pathology review (CPRG). [EN] Cryopreserved human tendons were sutured with different variations of a modified Kessler-type grasping suture in a series of different designs in order to assess the influence of the distance between the cross-stitch on the core suture (5 and 10 mm from the cut tendon edge) on the peripheral suture. An original mathematical model was employed to explain the mechanical behavior (strength, deformation, and distribution of load) of the different suture designs.
