Governance of Projects: Generating value by linking projects with their permanent organisation

Abstract There exists little research into how value is effectively generated by temporary projects from the wider perspective of a permanent organisation. This paper investigates empirically how ‘Governance of Projects’ – the way in which a single, permanent organisation identifies, creates, and subsequently harvests value through multiple projects – occurs in four private-sector case companies. Data were collected from in-depth interviews with a wide range of employees and from internal operational documents. Development of a Fractional PI controller in an FPGA environment for a Robust High-Performance PMSM Electrical Drive

This paper proposes the application of a Fractional Order PI (FOPI) in the speed loop of a high performance PMSM drive to obtain both speed tracking and load rejection performance with a 1-DOF Proportional Integral (PI) controller and 2-DOF Integral Proportional (IP) controller. Hardware validation was implemented in Field Programmable Gate Array on the LabVIEW environment, based on the National Instruments System-on-Module sbRIO-9651 with Xilinx Zynq-7020. Simulation and experimental results are presented to comparing the performance of a PI, IP and FOPI controllers in the speed loop of a Field Oriented Control (FOC) of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM).

In this paper a wind electrical power generation system for Distributed on Site (DoS) applications is proposed. This system was developed and conceived in order to guarantee simple installation, use and service, obtaining a product that can be easily industrialized and put into the market with limited costs. Vertical root fracture in endodontically treated teeth: A review of 25 cases

Abstract Objective: We sought to examine the clinical conditions under which 25 endodontically treated teeth underwent vertical root fracture (VRF) and to relate this condition to the time elapsed from endodontic treatment to fracture. Study Design: This was a retrospective study in which we reviewed 25 case histories of patients with postendodontic VRF and studied the effect of various pretreatment and posttreatment factors as they related to VRF. Results And Conclusions: The mean time to VRF was 54 months; this was not significantly influenced by the presence or absence of prior restoration or by the presence or absence of a crown fitting. EAAgroSupECOLDUR; Do vole outbreaks have the same effects on suckler beef farms in Burgundy as they do on daily farms in Auvergne and Franche-Comte? Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 19 farmers from Burgundy who had been affected by a water vole outbreak in 2011. The results indicate that, just like farmers in Auvergne and Franche-Comte, farmers in Burgundy witnessed a decrease in forage quantity and quality. Farmers used diverse measures to deal with the outbreak (e.g., avoidance strategies or the use of bromadiolone).
