Hybrid porous scaffolds composed of both natural and synthetic biopolymers have demonstrated significant improvements in the tissue engineering field. This study investigates for the first time the fabrication route and characterization of poly-L-lactic acid scaffolds blended with polyhydroxyalkanoate up to 30 wt%. The hybrid scaffolds were prepared by a thermally induced phase separation method starting from ternary solutions. Brookite, the least known TiO2 photocatalyst, Catalysts

Brookite is the least studied TiO2 photocatalyst due to the difficulties usually encountered in order to obtain it as a pure phase. In this review, a comprehensive survey of the different methods available for preparing brookite powders and films is reported. Attention has been paid both to the most traditional methods, such as hydrothermal processes at high temperatures and pressures, and to environmentally benign syntheses using water soluble compounds and water as the solvent. Papers reporting the photocatalytic activity of pure and brookite-based samples have been reviewed.

Synchrotron radiation multiple diffraction in Renninger scanning (RS) geometry is used to characterise an Al0.304Ga0.172In0.524 As hetero-epitaxial layer MOVPE grown onto InP(001). (006) RS data for bulk, InP substrate and the quaternary layer were obtained using a new experimental set-up on station 7.6 at the Daresbury synchrotron radiation source. Examination of the multiple diffraction peak profiles reveal the epitaxial layers to have a higher mosaic spread than the underlying substrate materials. The objective of our work was to assess the accuracy in terms of spatial and contrast resolution, respiratory movement artifacts and synchronization of the “triple arterial phase” (TAP) sequence and compare it with the conventionally acquired arterial phase (AP). Between June 2021 and September 2021 16 patients underwent liver MRI for characterization and/or follow-up of focal hepatic lesions, and the TAP sequence was used. Hormone therapy (HT) has menopausal symptom control as the main indication. However, and because estrogens have receptors spread over many systems in the body, the use of hormones may have consequences on health. Hormone therapy consists of estrogens essentially, since menopausal symptoms mainly derive from estrogen deprivation at different target tissues. However, the normal ovarian cycle includes the regular secretion of progesterone during the days of the luteal phase.
