The article deals with the problem of the artistic and p edagogical training of the primary school teachers in the modernization of educational system in Ukraine and integration into the global educational community. A scientific explanation of the functional-content features of the artistic and educational activities is argued, the original interpretation of the content and the forms of classes is provided, the pedagogical conditions and the ways of optimization of the artistic and pedagogical training are revealed.

Littoral zones in lakes are among the most productive habitats in the world, but have been seriously understudied, as most limnological studies have concerned only pelagic habitats. The likely importance of littoral zones in clear lakes is widely acknowledged, but in contrast their role in dystrophic humic lakes has generally been assumed to be minor. In this thesis, littoral importance in whole-lake metabolism was studied in small and highly humic lakes in Southern Finland, where Lake Mekkojärvi was the principal study lake. In an attempt to improve global cardiovascular risk prediction, considerable interest has focused on C-reactive protein (CRP), that has been shown in multiple prospective epidemiological studies to predict incident myocardial infarction, stroke, peripheral arterial disease, and sudden cardiac death. CRP is a hepatically-derived pentraxin that plays a key role in the innate immune response. Standard CRP tests determine levels which are increased up to 1000-fold in response to infection or tissue destruction, but cannot adequately assess the normal range. Teaching historical thinking in practice : a study of US history teachers’ views on using primary sources in AP and IB history lessons

Analysis of primary sources has been recognised to have a significant impact on the development of students’ historical thinking. This study explored US history teachers’ attitudes and practices to using primary sources by interviewing six history teachers and observing 29 history lessons between August and November 2016 in Indiana and California. The main focus of the study was on the views of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and Advancement Placement (AP) history teachers.
