Non-Linear Inductor Models Comparison for Switched-Mode Power Supplies Applications

The use of non-linear power inductors, intended as devices exploited up to a current at which the inductance is halved, is of great interest in switched-mode power supplies (SMPSs). Indeed, it allows the use of lighter and cheaper inductors improving the power density. On the other hand, the analysis of SMPSs equipped with non-linear inductors requires appropriate modeling of the inductor reproducing the inductance versus current. This paper compares two main analytical models proposed in the literature: the former is based on a polynomial, and the latter exploits the arctangent function to reproduce the non-linearity of the inductance. L’elettrodialisi (ED) è una promettente tecnologia a membrana utilizzata in diversi campi, ad esempio nella dissalazione delle acque e nell’industria alimentare. L’ED usa un potenziale elettrico per indurre una migrazione selettiva di cationi ed anioni da una soluzione elettrolitica ad un’altra, sfruttando membrane a scambio ionico. Membrane anioniche e cationiche sono alternativamente collocate all’interno di una unità ED. A queste sono solitamente interposti spaziatori che prevengono il contatto tra le membrane e delineano i canali in cui scorrono le soluzioni. Thus, a questionnaire has been developed and administered through internet (Nutrinet-Sante Study) to a large sample (n=43 807) from the French population. Abstract This paper deals with the chronology and the possible correlations among levels of different excavated areas in the Pleistocene vertebrate-bearing deposits at the large San Teodoro Cave (North-Eastern Sicily). Two trenches have been excavated along the eastern side of the cave, located at a distance from the entrance, respectively, of 8 m ( α trench) and 28 m ( β trench) and at different depths. Multi-resolution anisotropy studies of ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays detected at the Pierre Auger Observatory

We report a multi-resolution search for anisotropies in the arrival directions of cosmic rays detected at the Pierre Auger Observatory with local zenith angles up to $80^\circ$ and energies in excess of 4 EeV ($4 \times 10^{18}$ eV). This search is conducted by measuring the angular power spectrum and performing a needlet wavelet analysis in two independent energy ranges.
