Factors determining and influencing the perception of emotional expression of music include those related to music itself, to the listener, and to the context. Among the latter there is also music, as we rarely listen to a single piece. A simple experimental study has been carried out into the effect of music listened to immediately beforehand on the perception of the emotional expression of a musical piece. The following variables were involved: type of emotional expression of music conceived in terms of a most basic sad-joyful dimension, initial and final mood of the listeners, their professional musical education vs. lack thereof, age, and gender. Using Automatic Morphological Tools to Process Data from a Learner Corpus of Hungarian

The aim of this article is to show how automatic morphological tools originally used to analyze native speaker data can be applied to process data from a learner corpus of Hungarian. We collected written data from 35 students majoring in Hungarian studies at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. The data were analyzed by magyarlanc, a sentence splitter, morphological analyzer, POS-tagger and dependency parser, which found 667 unknown word forms. We investigated the recommendations made by the Hungarian spellchecker hunspell for these unknown words and the correct forms were manually chosen. No phylogeographic structure in the circumpolar snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus)

The snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus) is a nomadic species with a circumpolar distribution. It has recently declined in the western Palearctic and may thus be worthy of special consideration for conservation. We investigated genetic structure in three well separated geographic regions within the snowy owls’ breeding range. We sequenced two mitochondrial genes; the control region and cytochrome b, and two Z-chromosome introns; VLDLR-9 and BRM-15. We found no phylogeographic structure among the sampled regions, indicating high levels of gene flow in the recent past and possibly still today. La sobreemigració femenina i la masculinització són processos encara latents en gran part de la ruralitat espanyola. No obstant això, existeixen dones que mantenen o traslladen la seua residència a aquestes àrees. Així doncs, aquesta investigació tracta de caracteritzar les principals circumstàncies i patrons de vida que assumeixen i configuren les dones rurals. A partir d’un estudi de cas, la Sierra del Segura (Albacete), i mitjançant tècniques qualitatives, s’exposen quatre grans models de vida femenins.
