A Catalyst Designed for the Enantioselective Construction of Methyl- and Alkyl-Substituted Tertiary Stereocenters

Tertiary methyl-substituted stereocenters are present in numerous biologically active natural products. Reported herein is a catalytic enantioselective method for accessing these chiral building blocks using the Mukaiyama-Michael reaction between silyl ketene thioacetals and acrolein. To enable remote enantioface control on the nucleophile, a new iminium catalyst, optimized by three-parameter tuning and by identifying substituent effects on enantioselectivity, was designed. Cette recherche examine l’effet de la modification d’un attribut aux effets indésirables (la teneur en alcool du vin) sur la consommation d’un produit. En adoptant une perspective sensorielle, nous testons si la baisse de la quantité de l’attribut du nouveau produit (vin à 9 % d’alcool au lieu de 13,5 %) a une influence physiologique sur les quantités consommées. De même, en adoptant une perspective cognitive, nous examinons si l’information sur la baisse de cet attribut influence également les quantités consommées. Saturation and forward jets in proton-lead collisions at the LHC

We investigate the forward-jet energy spectrum within the Color Glass Condensate framework at 5 TeV center-of-mass energy. In particular, we focus on the kinematic range covered by the CMS-CASTOR calorimeter. We show that our saturation-model calculations are compatible with the CASTOR measurements and that to optimally reproduce the data, effects of multi-parton interactions need to be included. We predict a significant nuclear suppression - reaching down to 50% at the lowest considered jet energies $E_{\rm jet} \sim 500 \, {\rm GeV}$.
Recent experiments at the JYFLTRAP Penning trap

AbstractThe JYFLTRAP double Penning trap mass spectrometer at the Ion Guide Isotope Separator On-Line (IGISOL) facility offers excellent possibilities for high-precision mass measurements of radioactive ions. Around 400 atomic masses, including around 50 isomeric states, have been measured since JYFLTRAP became operational. JYFLTRAP has also been used as a high-resolution mass separator for decay spectroscopy experiments as well as an ion counter for fission yield studies. In this contribution, an overview of recent activities at the JYFLTRAP Penning trap is given, with a focus on nuclei discussed in the PLATAN2019 meeting.

The paper addresses the problem of using social media to promote innovative products available in online stores. Motivated by the fast development of the audiobook market, on the one hand, and the efficiency of social media marketing, on the other hand, we conducted an experiment with a marketing campaign of books and audiobooks on the most popular social networking site, Facebook, and discussed it in the paper.
