Classification algorithms are proposed based on information entropy. The feasibility of mixing a given human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) inhibitor with dissimilar ones is studied. The 31 inhibitors are classified by their structural chemical properties. Many classification algorithms are based on information entropy. An excessive number of results appear compatible with the data and suffer combinatorial explosion. However, after the equipartition conjecture one has a selection criterion. [ES]: El objetivo del presente trabajo es estudiar la relación entre los miembros del comité editorial que publican artículos en revistas de las que forman parte y la propia revista. Los resultados apuntan que los miembros del comité editorial publican sus artículos de forma más rápida frente a los autores que no forman parte del comité, y que no existe colaboración entre los miembros con mayor presencia en diferentes comités, sí habiéndola entre miembros de una misma revista. How Journalists Think about Media Effects—And Why We Should Care

Research suggests that journalists’ beliefs about media effects are influenced by unsystematically gathered knowledge and subjective-intuitive judgments. However, it has also been shown that these presumptions must be considered important factors for the formation of journalistic coverage. Against this background, this article synthesizes existing research on dimensions, determinants, and consequences of journalists’ presumptions of media effects. The Impact of the Productivity Dispersion Across Employers on the Labor's Income Share

In the present paper, I study the distribution of income across the factors of production within the canonical on-the-job search framework. I show that, by weakening the competition between employers, a mean-preserving spread of the employers' productivity distribution decreases the share of the production output that the workers receive. This result is particularly intriguing in light of the rising productivity dispersion and the declining labor share in many countries.
Start-up with or without inoculum? Analysis of an SMBR pilot plant.

This study analysed a submerged membrane bioreactor (SMBR) start-up with the purpose of determining the best conditions to carry it out. In order to do this, a hollow fibre membrane module was installed in a submerged configuration in a pilot aerobic reactor. The experiment was then divided in two phases, lasting 65 days each. During phase 1, the pilot plant was started-up without inoculum of activated sludge and no sludge, withdrawal was performed. Conversely, in phase 2, the MBR pilot plant was started-up with sludge inoculum and the sludge concentration was kept constant. Abstract Children’s early social interactional behaviors and symbolic play competence were studied at 14 months in a sample of 111 mother-infant pairs. The categories of social interactional behaviors, joint visual attention, socially coordinated and object oriented interactions were assessed via observations of mother-infant joint play. An index of symbolic play was derived from the child’s solitary play, which was assessed independently.
