Publisher Summary This chapter presents two Shape Optimization problems for two dimensional airfoil designs. The first one is a reconstruction problem for an airfoil when the velocity of the flow is known on the surface of airfoil. The second problem is to minimize the shock drag of an airfoil at transonic regime. The flow is modeled by the full potential equations. The discretization of the state equation is done using the finite element method and the resulting non-linear system of equations is solved by using a multi-grid method. Commercial production in California, and increasingly worldwide, relies on only few clonally grafted scion genotypes, particularly “Chandler,” and more recently clonally propagated disease-resistant rootstocks. Diseases, nematodes, insect pests, abiotic stresses, and other nutritional and environmental factors, can reduce walnut productivity and quality, affecting grower profitability. All'interno della procedura per la formazione del Piani territoriali di coordinamento provinciale viene proposta una metodologia per la valutazione e programmazione strutturale e strategica dei servizi d'area vasta in una visione policentrica all'interno di parchi. La procedura di valutazione della domanda e dell'offerta e quindi degli scenari di programmazione territoriale vengono strutturati in una copianificazione multilivello che coinvolge secondo i principi di sussidiarietà la programmazione regionale e le scelte localizzative a livello locale all'interno di ambiti intercomunali di ottimizzazione.

Il testo affronta l'intera questione nella sua complessità' e rispetto al ruolo che avrebbe dovuto assumere nel Piano.

A più di trent’anni dall’approvazione del Piano Programma e della immediatamente successiva scomparsa di Giuseppe Samonà (1983), si intende riprendere alcuni temi fondamentali di quel piano e fornirne una lettura legata all’attualità. Experimental investigations of structures under impact loads are normally carried out by means of drop-weight testing rigs, which are often tailor made, and require sensors for fast transient measurement of mechanical quantities (namely, force, displacement, velocity, and absorbed energy). Since these tests are quite expensive, time consuming, and, often, not repeatable, the sensors must provide reliable and interpretable results in the first trial. Developing MLS Location-Based Service Pilot System

Development of mobile networks and terminals provides basis for advanced mobile services and applications. One of the new features is support for locating the mobile user by her/his terminal. The Location-Based Services (LBS), utilising this feature, are expected to form an important class of the new services. At the Information Technology Research Institute, University of Jyvaskyla, LBSs have been studied in MultiMeetMobile research project. The project developed an LBS pilot system, called MLS. This paper presents the experiences collected during the development of the LBS pilot and describes the MLS system.

Kvalifikācijas darbā veikts pētījums par priekšstatu par skaitu un skaitīšanu veidošanos 3-4 gadus veciem bērniem. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt 3-4 gadus vecu bērnu priekšstatu par skaitu un skaitīšanu veidošanos pirmsskolas izglītības iestādē. Darbs sastāv no ievada, piecām nodaļām, nobeiguma, izmantotās literatūras saraksta ar 28 vienībām un 6 pielikumiem. Pirmajā nodaļā teorētiski analizēta priekšstatu par skaitu un skaitīšanu veidošanās. Otrajā nodaļā analizētas pirmsskolas izglītības mācību satura programmas prasības priekšstatu par skaitu un skaitīšanu veidošanā Latvijā, Baltkrievijā un Lielbritānijā.
