Diaspora Start-Up Programs and Creative Industries: Evidence from Romania

Romania is one of the main countries of origin for intra-European migration. The national authorities recently implemented the first major program —Diaspora Start-up—to support the business initiatives of Romanian citizens who live abroad and who are interested in opening a business in their home country. This scheme was developed in parallel with a broader program—Romania Start-up Plus—which was designed to support the entrepreneurial initiatives of individuals residing inside the country. The review deals with an expanding number of steroidal compounds that are capable of forming a metallogel providing a multitude of novel materials rich in their properties. The future of steroidal metallogels holds a myriad of potential applications as new intelligent materials. Detection of potentially harmful compounds without expensive instrumentation, entrapment of environmentally hazardous substances, and sensitive and selective nanomaterials represent only a few of these potential applications. Using uncertain preferential information from stakeholders to assess the acceptability of alternative forest management plans

In forest management planning, participatory planning processes are often encouraged as a means to acquire relevant information and to enhance the stakeholders' acceptability of alternative plans. This requires the aggregation of the stakeholders' preferences that can be done in a wide variety of manners. The aggregation process strives to reduce the information into a single set of preferences that simplifies the information and allows for the use of discrete decision support tools. Results of a dental care protocol for mentally handicapped patients set in a primary health care area in Spain

Objective: Disabled people have the same right as other people to receive the health care they need, but they sometimes have difficulties to achieve it. In Castilla y Leon it has come into effect a law to guarantee Primary and Secondary Care coordination to provide dental treatment under sedation or anaesthesia to mentally disabled people who need it. Our aim is to evaluate the results of the implementation of such a law through a specific protocol in our health setting. Stresa noturība studentiem no dažādām studiju programmām

Stress ir viena no galvenajām problēmām ar ko jāsastopas studentiem. Veiktajā pētījumā galvenais uzdevums bija noskaidrot stresa noturības līmeņa atšķirības dažādu mācību programmu studentiem. Pētījums tika veikts starp trīs Latvijas Universitātes studiju programmu studentiem (N = 95), no kuriem 32 (33,6% ) apguva psiholoģiju, 33 (34,7% ) interjera dizaina un 30 ( 31,5% ) vadības zinību studiju programmas. Pētījums tika veikts interneta vidē. Datu vākšanai tika izmantota Latvijas Personības aptaujas ( LPAv-3) Nenoturības pret stresu apakšskala (Perepjolkina ,2014). Rezultāti parādīja, ka būtiskas atšķirības stresa noturības līmeņa rādītajos starp dažādu studiju programmu studentiem nepastāv.

Agent assisted interactive algorithm for computationally demanding multiobjective optimization problems

We generalize the applicability of interactive methods for solving computationally demanding, that is, time-consuming, multiobjective optimization problems. For this purpose we propose a new agent assisted interactive algorithm. It employs a computationally inexpensive surrogate problem and four different agents that intelligently update the surrogate based on the preferences specified by a decision maker. In this way, we decrease the waiting times imposed on the decision maker during the interactive solution process and at the same time decrease the amount of preference information expected from the decision maker.
