Gastrocriticism: pentru o reinterpretare a poeziei lui Emil Brumaru

Abstract The aim of this essay is to offer a gastrocritical analysis of Emil Brumaru's poetry, taking into consideration the symbolism of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, spices and food in general. The four main parts of the essay are based on the sensuality of the fruits, on the memories brought up by food, on dreams stirred up by spices and on the autochtonous place described by the traditional "zacusca". These, all together, will prove the fact that the gastronomical references in Brumaru's poetry are full of connotations and this is what we will try to identify by the interdisciplinar approach.

Scholarly journals are often blamed for a gender gap in publication rates, but it is unclear whether peer review and editorial processes contribute to it. This article examines gender bias in peer review with data for 145 journals in various fields of research, including about 1.7 million authors and 740,000 referees. We reconstructed three possible sources of bias, i.e., the editorial selection of referees, referee recommendations, and editorial decisions, and examined all their possible relationships. The purpose of this article is twofold: to theoretically assess ideational and organizational explanatory factors in the adoption of artificial intelligence policies; and to examine the extent to which the European Union has managed to facilitate a coordinated artificial intelligence policy in the Nordic countries. Neighbourhood socio-economic characteristics and the risk of preterm birth for migrant and non-migrant women: a study in a French district

Neighbourhood-level deprivation is associated with preterm birth; preterm birth rates are also higher for some, but not all migrant groups. We studied the impact of neighbourhood characteristics (a deprivation score and the proportion of foreign-born residents) on singleton preterm birth in the French district of Seine-Saint-Denis for women born in France, North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and other countries.
