The meaning of actualization of self-care resources among a group of older home-dwelling people—A hermeneutic study
2013
Self-care is an activity of mature persons who have developed their abilities to take care of themselves. Individuals can choose to actualize their self-care abilities into self-care activities to maintain, restore, or improve health and well-being. FORMULATIONS OF THE MAIN GOAL IN LIFE: A QUALITATIVE CONTENT ANALYSIS
2018
Humanistic tradition emphasizes the main goal in life as something towards which people determine themselves. This study aimed at revealing categories in formulations of the main goal in life. Participants were 226 adults aged from 18 to 69 (M = 25.34, SD = 8.51, 65% females). 2020
Abstract With the growth in the use of crowdfunding platforms for fundraising, analysis of the key factors associated with successful crowdfunding has emerged as an interesting and oft-researched topic. Nonetheless, the equity crowdfunding market is still relatively under researched. The purpose of this paper is to explore how contingency factors combine and causally connect in leading to possible success or failure in equity crowdfunding rounds. To reach this goal, a configurational approach was chosen. Qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) is a suitable method for this topic because of its ability to identify and assess different combinations of conditions that explain certain outcomes. …

The entrepreneurial orientation (EO) of firms is the subject of current research in the fields of management and business. However, analyses on this subject in sport companies are lacking. The firm size follows the EU's directive for the classification of micro, small, medium, a…
Identification of overglaze and underglaze cobalt decoration of ceramics from Valencia(Spain) by portable EDXRF spectrometry
2004
The purpose of this work is the application of non-destructive analysis to differentiate underglaze and overglaze techniques used in the decoration of glazed ceramics from Valencia (Spain). This study was carried out by portable EDXRF spectrometry using an X-ray tube and a thermoelectrically cooled semiconductor detector. From the EDXRF spectra we have identified the main elements present in the tin-opacified lead glaze and in the cobalt pigments. The identification of the underglaze and overglaze decoration is based on the different ratios between the fluorescence line of the main component of the glaze (Pb-La line) and the fluorescence lines of the main components of the pigment (Co-Ka, M…
