Grounded in phraseology and corpus linguistics, this paper aims to explore the use of bilingual lexical bundles to improve the degree of naturalness and textual fit of translated texts. More specifically, this study attempts to identify lexical bundles, that is, recurrent sequences of 3–7 words with similar discursive functions in a purpose-designed comparable corpus of English and Polish patient information leaflets, with 100 text samples in each language. Because of cross-linguistic differences, we additionally apply a number of formal criteria in order to filter out the bundles in each subcorpus. This paper aims at characterizing and improving the metrological performances of current and voltage instrument transformers (CTs and VTs) in harmonic measurements in the power system. A theoretical analysis is carried out to demonstrate that, due to the iron core nonlinearity, CT and VT output signal is distorted even when the input signal is a pure sine wave. Starting from this analysis, a new method for CT and VT characterization and compensation is proposed. Unen laatu heikkenee vaihdevuosien aikana. Heikentynyt unen laatu on yhteydessä sokeri- ja rasva-aineenvaihdunnan häiriöihin. Tämän pro gradu-tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää vaihdevuosi-ikäisten naisten unen laadun yhteyttä kardiometabolisiin riskitekijöihin. Ocena mikrobiologiczna niepasteryzowanych soków owocowych i warzywnych

Celem pracy była ocena parametrów fizykochemicznych oraz mikrobiologicznych niepasteryzowanych soków owocowych i warzywnych podczas próby przechowalniczej. Analizie poddano takie parametry fizykochemiczne, jak: pH, kwasowość ogólną, gęstość względną oraz zawartość ekstraktu. W badaniach mikrobiologicznych określono ilość mikroorganizmów oraz przeprowadzono ocenę jakościową badanych soków. Przetrzymywanie otwartych soków przez jedną godzinę w temperaturze pokojowej nie wpłynęło istotnie na zmianę parametrów fizykochemicznych. Urban activities and traffic movements have an important impact on the acoustic level and air pollution. The aim of the present paper is to assess the improvement of an environmental territorial information system, developed in 2003, useful as a decision support for town-planning and territorial management. The system born as a data base and as a tools of management for environmental problems is now improved and is able to calculate the noise levels and the correlate CO values. Since an urban area could be analyzed at a macro-scale level also the evaluation is at a macro scale level. Thanks to its flexibility, the modular system allows to meet the demands of a wide range of applications.
