Abstract [W(N2O2)(HN2O2)] (H4N2O2 = N,N′-bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxyphenyl)-1,2-phenylenediamine) with a noninnocent ligand was formed by reaction of the alkoxide precursor [W(eg)3] (eg = the 1,2-ethanediolate dianion) with two equivalents of ligand. The phenol groups on one of the ligands are completely deprotonated and the ligand coordinates in a tetradentate fashion, whereas the other ligand is tridentate with one phenol having an intact OH group. The molecular structure, magnetic measurements, EPR spectroscopy, and density functional theory calculations indicate that the complex is a stable radical with the odd electron situated on the tridentate amidophenoxide ligand. Search for photons with energies above 1018 eV using the hybrid detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory

A search for ultra-high energy photons with energies above 1 EeV is performed using nine years of data collected by the Pierre Auger Observatory in hybrid operation mode. An unprecedented separation power between photon and hadron primaries is achieved by combining measurements of the longitudinal air-shower development with the particle content at ground measured by the fluorescence and surface detectors, respectively. Only three photon candidates at energies 1-2 EeV are found, which is compatible with the expected hadron-induced background. SCOPO DEL LAVORO: Valutare retrospettivamente le caratteristiche di semeiotica neuroradiologica delle lesioni indotte in pazienti sottoposti a talamotomia unilaterale del nucleo Vim mediante l’utilizzo di un sistema trans-cranico ad ultrasuoni focalizzati guidati da RM (tcMRgFUS). MATERIALI E METODI: Cinquanta pazienti sono stati sottoposti a talamotomia mediante tcMRgFUS per tremore essenziale refrattario a terapia medica (n = 39) o per tremore in malattia di Parkinson (n = 11). Scopo Negli ultimi anni la terapia transcranica ad ultrasuoni focalizzati guidati da risonanza magnetica (tcMRgFUS) per il trattamento di disordini neurologici quali il tremore essenziale (ET) e il Parkinson tremorigeno (PD) è stata effettuata utilizzando esclusivamente scanner RM da 3T. Presentiamo i risultati ottenuti con il primo sistema tcMRgFUS mai integrato con uno scanner RM da 1.5T. Materiali e metodi 23 pazienti (19 ET; 4 PD) sono stati selezionati per essere sottoposti a tcMRgFUS (talamotomia monolaterale; target: nucleo ventrale intermedio, VIM). Scopo La terapia dei disordini neurologici mediante tcMRgFUS è stata effettuata utilizzando esclusivamente scanner RM da 3T. Utilizzando uno scanner RM da 1.5T la qualità delle sequenze morfologiche utilizzabili per la pianificazione di questi trattamenti è risultata essere soddisfacente utilizzando la bobina body RF (quella utilizzata con scanner 3T). Tuttavia l'SNR delle sequenze utilizzate per la termometria RM è risultato inferiore allo standard accettabile per i trattamenti. Fish were fed two different diets (Anchovy- and Herring-oil based) that differed in polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) concentrations.
