Etude de l’interaction plante-communautés microbiennes de la rhizosphère chez l’espèce modèle Medicago truncatula par une approche multidisciplinaire…
2012
The soil microbial communities can improve plant growth by increasing soil nutrient availability, thereby promoting their uptake by the plant. In an overall context of input reduction, the plant nutrition should be increasingly based on plant- rhizosphere microbial communities’ interactions. Yet, very few studies have examined the entire rhizosphere microbial communities in relationship with both plant genotype and phenotype. The aim of this thesis was to study the plant genotype effect on the rhizosphere microbial communities in relationship with the plant nutritional strategies. To do so, the plant-rhizosphere microbial communities’ interaction was assessed by a multidisciplinary approach…
Services provided by soil microorganisms to improve plant phosphate nutrition
2022
Since the first Green Revolution, agricultural practices have been based on the massive use of synthetic fertilisers and plant protection products. Since then, global consumption of phosphate fertilisers has more than tripled, reaching 47 million tonnes in 2019. Current projections estimate that phosphate rock stocks (natural phosphorus resources for fertiliser production) could be depleted within the next century, leading us to change our agricultural practices. In soils, P is mainly present in complexed forms that are not easily accessible to plants. To reduce the use of phosphate fertilisers, it is necessary to make this complexed phosphate accessible to plants. This can be done by benef…

Respiratoro alerģisko reakciju novērtējums Latvijas populācijā
2016
Pasaulē saslimstība ar alerģijām aizvien turpina pieaugt. No dažādām alerģiskām slimībām cieš aptuveni 30 – 40% pasaules iedzīvotāju.
The effect of allergen immunotherapy in the onset of new sensitizations: a meta-analysis.
2017
Background Although the preventive efficacy of allergen immunotherapy (AIT) in the onset of new allergen sensitizations has been asserted by many reviews, position papers, and consensus conferences, the evidence available is from only 3 studies. The objective of this work was a systematic review to evaluate the preventive efficacy of AIT in the onset of new allergen sensitizations. The end-point was the risk difference (RD) in the onset of new allergen sensitizations between patients treated with AIT and pharmacotherapy. Methods Computerized bibliographic searches of MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library (until November 30th, 2016) were done. Random-effects and fixed-effects model meta-…
Endotyping allergic rhinitis in children: A machine learning approach.
2021
Introduction: The diversity of allergic rhinitis (AR) phenotypes is particularly evident in childhood, suggesting the need to analyze and identify new approaches to capture such clinical heterogeneity. Nasal cytology (NC) is a very useful diagnostic tool for identifying and quantifying nasal inflammation. Data-driven approaches such as latent class analysis (LCA) assign subjects to classes based on their characteristics. We hypothesized that LCA based on NC, including the assessment of neutrophils, eosinophils, and mast cells, may be helpful for identifying AR endotypes in children. Methods: A total of 168 children were enrolled. Sociodemographic characteristics and detailed medical history…
Validity, reliability, and responsiveness of daily monitoring visual analog scales in MASK-air®
2021
International audience; Background: MASK-air® is an app that supports allergic rhinitis patients in disease control. Users register daily allergy symptoms and their impact on activities using visual analog scales (VASs). We aimed to assess the concurrent validity, reliability, and responsiveness of these daily VASs. Methods: Daily monitoring VAS data were assessed in MASK-air® users with allergic rhinitis. Concurrent validity was assessed by correlating daily VAS values with those of the EuroQol-5 Dimensions (EQ-5D) VAS, the Control of Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma Test (CARAT) score, and the Work Productivity and Activity Impairment Allergic Specific (WPAI-AS) Questionnaire (work and activi…
Positioning the principles of precision medicine in care pathways for allergic rhinitis and chronic rhinosinusitis â A EUFOREA-ARIA-EPOS-AIRWAYS IC…
2017
Precision medicine (PM) is increasingly recognized as the way forward for optimizing patient care. Introduced in the field of oncology, it is now considered of major interest in other medical domains like allergy and chronic airway diseases, which face an urgent need to improve the level of disease control, enhance patient satisfaction and increase effectiveness of preventive interventions. The combination of personalized care, prediction of treatment success, prevention of disease and patient participation in the elaboration of the treatment plan is expected to substantially improve the therapeutic approach for individuals suffering from chronic disabling conditions. Given the emerging dat…
