The essay proposes a democratic interpretation about the social space. It approaches it from an hermeneutics point of view linked to the paradigm of intersubjectivity (taking into account authors such as: Apel, Habermas, Honneth, Taylor, etc.). Therefore, it exploits the “ theory of recognition” both on a practical level, both theoretically. Against this background "the public reason" has an epistemological dominant role.
Robotics and Virtual Worlds: An Experiential Learning Lab

Aim of the study was to investigate the cognitive processes involved and stimulated by educational robotics (LEGO® robots and Kodu Game Lab) in lower secondary school students. Results showed that LEGO® and KGL artifacts involve specific cognitive and academic skills. In particular the use of LEGO® is related to deductive reasoning, speed of processing visual targets, reading comprehension and geometrical problem solving; the use of KGL is related to visual-spatial working memory, updating skills and reading comprehension. Both technologies, moreover, are effective in the improvement of visual-spatial working memory. Implications for Human-Robot Interaction and BICA challenge are discussed.
Analogy

Analogy is a mode of reasoning that is employed in problem solving, logic, science and art. The scheme of analogical reasoning is centred on the detection of similarity or common features across domains. Copi and Cohen (2005), Keynes (1921), Carnap (1980) suggested what analogical reasoning consists of. De Finetti (1938) proposed an alternative treatment of analogy as inference on what is invariant across statistical distributions of distinct event kinds. In problem solving theory, cognitive models of the content and the structural mapping of analogy has been built. Science and art has provided important test beds for models.

In clinical practice and research, Raven’s Coloured Progressive Matrices (RCPMs) continue to be used according to a single procedure that aims to evaluate a single overall score of the current general intelligence level. This study aimed to examine potential cognitive development in a sample of 450 typically developing children, aged from 6 to 10 years, by administering RCPMs according to the standard procedure followed immediately by a standardized interview on incorrect items. In the field of Computation Science, ‘Commonsense Reasoning’ usually expresses the formalization of Logic systems in order to efficiently automate replication of human performances. This is done by employing methodologies from Computational Learning, and deals with the construction of information of both deductive and inductive nature. The process often happens in an ecologic, natural context (i.e., in the real world, not in an artificial laboratory setting), and in presence of incomplete and imprecise information.

Human beings are animals endowed with a great curiosity. They continuously ask themselves how things are, where they come from, and where they go to. Questioning is at the origins of reasoning; and possibly, without the capability of self-questioning and guessing, neither directed thinking, nor reasoning, will exist. Their existence makes them a matter of study.

Thanks to thinking, memory, and language, human beings can dedicate a non-minor part of their time to tell, themselves or the others, events, descriptions, true or imagined histories, etc. Part of the human conversation consists in telling, and most of the times reasoning starts from the self-telling of something.
