Protein–carbohydrate interactions mediated by lectins have been recognized as key components of innate immunity in vertebrates and invertebrates, not only for recognition of potential pathogens, but also for participating in downstream effector functions, such as their agglutination, immobilization, and complement-mediated opsonization and killing. The peach volatilome modularity is reflected at the genetic and environmental response levels in a QTL mapping population

Background: The improvement of fruit aroma is currently one of the most sought-after objectives in peach breeding programs. To better characterize and assess the genetic potential for increasing aroma quality by breeding, a quantity trait locus (QTL) analysis approach was carried out in an F-1 population segregating largely for fruit traits. A new current-mode control for DC/DC converter

Current-sensing is used widely in smart power chips, especially in DC/DC converter for voltage regulator modules (VRM), implemented with interleaved synchronous rectifier buck converters. The interleaved technique main difficulty is due to its current-sharing control between the several modules. Besides, if the used control technique is current-mode type, it is necessary create a ramp signal proportional to current on the inductor. In this paper, a lossless current-sensing method, solving the major disadvantages of the current-mode control and implementing a current-sharing technique, is proposed. This innovative technique is tested in a two-module interleaved buck converter.

This paper presents a post-regulator based on the use of a controlled transformer, which adds or subtracts an additional voltage to the output filter of a converter in order to regulate its output voltage. Phosphate-controlled regulator for the biosynthesis of the dalbavancin precursor A40926

ABSTRACT The actinomycete Nonomuraea sp. strain ATCC 39727 produces the glycopeptide A40926, the precursor of the novel antibiotic dalbavancin. Previous studies have shown that phosphate limitation results in enhanced A40926 production. The A40926 biosynthetic gene ( dbv ) cluster, which consists of 37 genes, encodes two putative regulators, Dbv3 and Dbv4, as well as the response regulator (Dbv6) and the sensor-kinase (Dbv22) of a putative two-component system. Abstract The transcription factor NF-ATc is synthesized in three prominent isoforms. These differ in the length of their C terminal peptides and mode of synthesis. Due to a switch from the use of a 3′ polyA site to a more proximal polyA site, NF-ATc expression switches from the synthesis of the two longer isoforms in naive T cells to that of short isoform A in T effector cells.
