Resumen Objetivo El objetivo del estudio fue adaptar un cuestionario de discapacidad en actividades de movilidad (DIAMO-EPOC) incorporando escalas basadas en el marco conceptual de la Clasificacion Internacional del Funcionamiento, Discapacidad y Salud, y examinar su estructura, fiabilidad y validez en una cohorte de pacientes con EPOC. Metodos Un total de 137 pacientes con EPOC estable fueron reclutados. Se disenaron dos escalas de cuatro items cada una y se verifico su estructura mediante analisis factorial y de multirrasgo. Educación inclusiva en Ecuador: perspectiva de directores, familias y evaluadores.

El objetivo de este estudio consiste en analizar los indicadores de inclusión en una muestra de escuelas de la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador, y comparar las percepciones entre diferentes agentes educativos. Para ello, se les aplicó el Index for Inclusion a 19 directores(as) de centros educativos, 156 familias y 30 graduadas de titulaciones universitarias de Educación. Los resultados evidencian diferencias en la percepción del grado de inclusión en los tres grupos. Se discute el papel del sesgo de deseabilidad social en la interpretación de los resultados. Adolescents’ physical, emotional and social balance: a concept of pedagogical assistance and social rehabilitation

The paper summarizes research findings from two scientific fields (pedagogical and medical), which confirm that there are substantial discrepancies in an individuals’ biological, psychological and social development in the period of adolescence leading to a developmental imbalance mainly related to learning. The article offers for discussion a possible conceptual approach and practice-grounded changes of pedagogical provisions to improve teenagers’ physical, psycho-emotional balance and social rehabilitation culminating in overall well-being.

Abstract:KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES AND SEXUAL BEHAVIOR IN ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIESThis paper conducts an exploratory study whose overall objective is to analyze sexual behavior, level of knowledge and attitudes about safe sex practices in a sample of people with intellectual disabilities to prevent sexual violence against this group. The sample is composed of 78 people (39 men and 39 women) with a mild or moderate intellectual disability. Exploring the profiles of children with autism spectrum disorder: association with family factors.

This study aimed to identify different profiles of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) without intellectual disability (ID) and maternal factors characteristic of these profiles. Participants were 89 children between 7 and 11 years old and their mothers, distributed in two groups, 52 children with ASD and 37 with typical development (TD). Based on the children’s adaptive, behavioral, and pragmatic manifestations, three clusters were obtained in the ASD group. Children with the most serious difficulties in all the domains assessed were assigned to Cluster 1, whereas the children in Cluster 3 were characterized by relatively minor problems.
